Yup. Firings don’t happen unless no choice & there has to be a better option to hire. When it comes to GM’s not a fan of the ol boys & new GM’s are usually from a team that wins & was an AGM.

Who would replace Dubas?

Keefe? Dont think he goes but ok Trotz is a decent option.

Matthews using his frame and leading the team in hits was a pleasant surprise
- PlatosRepucklic

He played like Ovi adding to his game when the Caps won their cup. Others didn’t do enough to follow suit. More warrior mentality coulda been the diff. Simmons yes but he had that bad game taking poor penalties. Spezza did his best.

The East was there for the taking. The Leafs played down to inferior teams all season and paid the price by playing and losing to Tampa.

So obviously it will be this way forever. Go forward knowing you're watching and cheering only to continue being crushed. Do your thing, I don't care.

No it wasn't ... stop listening to the TO media.

Learn the game and be smarter instead of being a "fafan" manipulated by the media.

From July 2021

Kyle Dubas on Leafs core roster:

"I believe in this group, and I believe that they are going to get it done, and I believe that they're going to win. I believe we're going to see the best version of this group, and I'm willing to bet everything on that."

Well now that it didn’t… what’s next player …

The rest of the team doesn't have it in them, they are not man size
Look at the power play, three weak players that can't fight for the puck.

I doubt Keefe goes. Coaching staff was fine. Keefe’s winning record and all that. IF Dubas goes? Maybe then but thinking Keefe likely stays.

Realistically I think you look up front at Willy, Kerfoot, Mik, maybe outside chance Engvall (can see him kept for fourth line) Simmonds, Clifford likely buried in the A for next year or gone. Kase likely departs.

Defence likely Holl goes opening up spot for Sandin/Lili. I dunno but get the feeling with the concussions and age Muzz might go here too.

And not sure they dont look to upgrade the net and move from both Campbell AND definitely Mrazek

- Roadrunner75

Mrazek has to go for cap alone. How won’t be easy.

Stud shutdown D a key need & some better team D for when the type of game needs it. By that I mean more grit that isn’t a liability or inept at scoring. Unsung hero types. The kids on D are due to take the next step.

It's the Leafs who go forward, doing the same, only to be crushed. Year, after year, after year.

If it was the Toronto media saying it, it would go like this. The east is there for taking for anybody other than the Leafs.

I’m not trying to troll…but how many coaches are they gonna give this group? Babcock was awhile ago, but at some point it’s on the players

Nylander for Chycrun is the trade Leafs should work on (as the main pieces)

- Slimtj100

I’m not necessarily advocating Keefe goes it’s just Trotz gets so much out of his team like basically no other coach.

Yes. Teams with lack of talent and grit. Not a good fit. Am34 would not get his 65 goals.

Well I think you sit back and ask critically "who disappointed?". Special teams fumbled a bit again. Discipline fell short in game 2 and 6. Coaching?

No obvious scape goats this year.

I don’t know what the answer is… hopefully they do.. shanny / Dubas / Keefe. I just don’t think after making a statement like that, and getting the ending that you did this year, You can just say everything’s righty right & next year will be different.
