I truly do wonder… if TSN and Sportsnet actually decided to pull back on their relentless Leafs coverage… would this team be better?

Tremendous pressure put on the club from expectations laid out by media all day, every day.

The players feel it.

If these networks actually chilled on their Leafs coverage and didn’t feel the need to pander to their every move and report on what guys are eating for breakfast… their would be a lot less pressure and their would be a TON less hate from every other market across Canada.

Sadly, we likely have 4 months upcoming of intense “How do we fix this team” talk… which ain’t gonna help shyt.

Over the years it was Kadri Gardiner Dermott Freddie & now refs. It’s not there isn’t merit in that but scapegoats etc is all too common in here. It’s a team game & nobody can say the Leafs are not a top team & not be a liar. All the good teams took awhile to win their cups & this has been no different. The Leafs window is still open it’s a matter of how to get there. It’s the hardest Cup to win for a reason. The pain is real but you’ve a great entertaining team & more is to come.

I can see how hockey was like that for Detroit forever, but they don’t fetch much heat in the States because they’re usually mediocre to bad in the other sports.

New York, Boston, and Dallas for sure. Chicago to an extent. Philly as well because it’s in the northeast and highly populated, plus it’s close to NY and they’re often rivals, but the media isn’t always positive with them. If you know what I mean.

Then you got your cities that get a ton of attention strictly because of football, like Dallas, Pittsburgh, and tiny Green Bay. LA also with hoops.

I see some names to replace Keefe …. But Look at what Vigneault did with a pedestrian Nucks roster in 2011.

i don't see to many forwards on this team with man strength. I see Mathews, JT and Spezza. Clifford and Simmonds when they play.

Keefe only goes if the new GM wants a different coach, and despite the whining of some there isn't a GM change in the cards. The end result is the same but the team did take a step forward, they're not going to burn down the front office for that.
