just feels so predictable, like TB would not have gotten called for the same thing in the exact same circumstance.
- senstroll

Absolutely they would not have been called for it. That's a Leafs special. Just like the phantom call that cost them game 6.

They need to say sayonara to them all, except Campbell. And trade Marner and Reilly.

That was a legit interference call. It was an illegal pick.

Yep.

I hope coaches or players call it out tonight.

I also hate how the leafs started flopping the last half of the game.

I mean Holl was standing still, right? Cirelli runs into him? I just . . .How can you make that call there? How can ANYONE make that call there? It isn't even a penalty. They've let more egregious actual interference go this game - like on every dump in by Toronto.
- Monkeypunk

Holl goes from the point to below the circle. Most people who are "standing still" don't move.

I agree with him in a way. Tensions are high, but this season isn't like other seasons. The result is the same but there was significant progression this year that most won't be able to see right now.

There needs to be some changes on the ice but there's nothing to warrant going scorched earth. Nothing.

Tampa could win their third cup in a row, they lost to them by one goal in game 7 ffs. You build on that not tear it down.

- joel878

The point is the Leafs can’t afford changes! They will not have a goalie as good as Campbell for less than $4mil. They can’t afford Mikeyev, or Giordano! They have no draft picks left to trade for rentals next year, Tavares is a year older, Muzzin is close to done and they still have to pay him! Dubas has built a failing club with no future. Frick he even has Matthews on a crap contract for only 5 years and a No trade in year 5!!! Seriously!?

Sorry for the outcome. Was pulling for you guys since you’re such a likable lot. Keep your chins up. You’ll get past the first round one of these years! Seriously so much love.

Once we learn to win a series?

Ya, that would kind of be important… lololol

Bruins had some pretty epic and heart breaking playoff losses before they made a run. It will come.

Tavares is immovable without giving up picks and even then only a few teams could even think about taking his big cap
- MisterBrown

He's immovable because he has a full NMC. Crazy how often this needs to be explained to leaf fans.

I think Engvall is FA. I hope that one is obvious to the leafs, pack him a suitcase.

If Dubas comes out with some bullpoop about believing in this group and maintaining the status quo I'm gonna change my tune on him real fast me thinks.

Leafs needed someone to take over this game.

Nick (frank)ing Paul took it over instead.

- fifty__missions

I was hoping the Leafs would trade for him.

The typical useless trolls. Not unexpected.

Not that disappointed. Team played hard this year just couldnt get it done at all. I do expect some pretty significant changes will be coming though. Hard to be mad when both Lightning goals came off uncalled blatant interference, while Leafs first goal is waived off because they call it. Reffing was utterly pathetic. Both teams played a hell of a series though.

Sorry to see a Canadian team eliminated…I really thought this would be your year. Very impressive team but you got to get rid of Tavares, and use that money for your D. Give the C and team to the kids!!!!!! Matthew’s must step up, if he is the leader treat him accordingly and it will be up to him if he lives up to it!
- Slimvinnie

👍 if possible a retool to allocate cap for better depth.

This is such a myth, they have no more no money than any other competitive team. You move Nylander, Holl and Kerfoot, find a home for Mrazek and there's 16+ million available before you even take your own free agents off the roster.

If they want money, they will have money.
