Leafs powerplay 0-18 in playoff series clinching games in the past 6 years.

Just (frank)ing brutal.

The special teams have been brutal the last 5 years. At least we killed some PP. But if you are handed PP’s and dont convert you wont win….

Leafs were better, refs honestly played a role these past 2 games. It’s sad and pathetic. I’m not really mad at the team for once, so that’s progress I suppose…

I agree with him in a way. Tensions are high, but this season isn't like other seasons. The result is the same but there was significant progression this year that most won't be able to see right now.

There needs to be some changes on the ice but there's nothing to warrant going scorched earth. Nothing.

Tampa could win their third cup in a row, they lost to them by one goal in game 7 ffs. You build on that not tear it down.

That is a very calm & lucid take. 👍

Leafs were much better this year. Honestly they probably deserved to win this series. But doesn't change the results. IMO Keefe is fired, Dubas is fired, Shanahan is fired and Nylander is traded. Those are the major moves.

They dont need to blow it up, but they need to change. I would start with the defence and getting some BEEF up front. And why sit Simmonds and Clifford for most of the series? I know everyone will say we dont need them but I am puzzled with the no Simmonds. Guy brought lots of energy and you sit him for like 4 games?
- Hockey_Reverend

it just feels like the difference was some penalty calls...that didnt go the leafs way

fantom high stick that gives 5-3 and holl interference.

they could have called the same on the Paul 2nd goal...muzzin had his still yanked out and left him out of the play

just little poop like that...swings games

Totally agree.

I know this might be controversial, but I would move Reilly. He had some goals, but we need a true shut down d-man with a bomb from the point. Trade Nylander and him and get a stud on D.

Im on board for trading willie this summer, and not because I hate him like all the obsessive crybabies. Because his offence isn't what's desperately needed and can be largely replaced. Because moving him is a huge dynamic shift.

Kerfoot and Holl can follow suit. There's 12 million in cap space.

Not saying these 4 played bad but Matthews, Tavares, Marner, and Nylander combine for $50 mill CAD - and produced 0 goals in the biggest game of the season. I don't know how you justify that.

Yep, Willie is a great player. But he is not willing to play defence or sacrifice. We dont want guys like that. Trade him now while he has a good value and get a different type of player. ANd yes, Holl needs to go…

Largely replace a 34 goal scorer. There's a bunch of them at the back of the bus.
