The perfect example is the Devin Toews trade. They got him from the Isles for two 2nds. Isles needed to make a move for cap reasons and the Avs got a stud defenseman. One, is accurately assessing a young player and two, putting yourself in position to make the move. The cardinal sin that the Flyers have made is to be capped out as a mediocre team. It's completely incompetent.

Injuries bailed Fletcher out this year. Never want to see someone injured but the injuries were really a blessing in disguise. If they get healthy, they'll be right back in the worst position an NHL team could possibly be in.
