While I agree he's been a giant douchebag, I can't help but admire his tactics.

He was brilliant for attempting to sow the seeds of doubt in Campbell. Let's be honest: that's our Achilles heel.

- Atomic Wedgie

Yeah, as much of a douchebag move that was, it worked. At least for game 4. Campbell then had 2 days to regroup.

I heard that Campbell is working with cujo for the mental part of his game. Not sure if that’s true or not.

I must be missing on how claiming Tampa is giving it to the leafs is a good tactic, does that really do anything other than light the fire under the leafs... 🤔
- joel878

I think it was when he said Campbell had a 3.5 gaa the 2 games prior and he said he liked their chances

Campbell then went on to get lit up 5-0 in the next 30 mins of game 4 after that.

So what's Cooper's excuse going to be tonight for losing? 🤔
- mjones242

He's the "I'm never wrong" guy, the "oh you caught a 130 lb fish? I caught one that was 135 lbs", the "you didn't beat us when we were on a A game, you would never beat us if we played our A game" guy.

My guess is he will say they were tired from their past 2 playoff runs and that's why the lost - it's like he is immune to saying that the better team won and they were not the better team.

In his mind they are always the better team.

He has some Babcock-esque arrogance about him.

19 years. I'd say the game against Carolina was larger.

Frankly, I think this team playing absolutely dogpoop 1st periods has been our Achilles Heel -- at least, for the last couple of games.

If the team can actually put together a full 60 min effort (assuming no OTs, of course) I'm not too concerned with Jack not being Vezina quality.

But yeah, Cooper trying to play some Jedi mind tricks with both teams.

Yeah, I guess you have to have a tremendous ego to make it that far in hockey as a coach. And now he's a 2x Cup Winning coach, so there's that.

Just hope he has some good, but laughable, nuggets post-game tonight.

Well there's an angle one could argue got them 1 game. Someone could also probably argue that his big mouth has them facing elimination.

It's good that he has rings and all but if we're crediting an office product for Tampas success it's clearly Stevie Y and Brisebois who get the nod.

curious to see how Stamkos, Perry, Kutch, Point and Hedman react...they are usually clutch under pressure the past couple years.

I’m just hoping Kutch and Perry don’t go dirty if they’re down.
