You pick Wright 100%. At 15 he broke Mcdavid's scoring record playing in the OHL with exceptional status. People were saying he might be the next Crosby. Then covid hit yet he still managed to put up really good numbers. Anyone saying they should trade the first pick is a moron.

This discusion is moot anyway as it's doubtful the Avs would trade their general on defense for an "unproven" first pick.

Habs have had really bad luck with lottery picks. Just a gut feeling that this pick will be a home run. So no i wouldn't trade for Makar. You slot Suzuki where he should be at #2 and even though there's no Makar in the system they are stacked with D prospects.
