What I saw last night after the first period was a team that was very desperate and determined to win the game.
Losing key games to Columbus and Montreal they looked scared, and even in the first period last night they looked that way.
When they are skating and using their speed with confidence they can beat Tampa.
Anything less than their absolute best will not get it done.
I am hoping that at some inner level we will win because we are hungrier and want it more. Tampa have already won twice, maybe their desperation will not be quite as strong.

I just watched that..Stupid and filthy. - Azuredoom
The attempted slash prior looked a little unhinged as well. I watched it live and thought “Did I really see that?” I rewound the play several times, gobsmacked he wasn’t tossed with a major.

Used to post more before I retired, from work.
Now I am too busy.
Old enough to have watched the Leafs win their last Cup on a 12" black and white TV with rabbit ears.
If I had known it was going to be another 50+ years I would have appreciated it more at the time.
In any case I think the Leafs have finally got it. If they lose because they played their best I can live with that.
If they lose because they were so scared they couldn't complete a 10 foot pass then I will be angry, again.

I’m the same way. If the finish out the round looking like the first 10 mins of game 4 and 5 I’ll be pissed. If they atleast compete and bring their A game and come up short so be it. They’re playing the 2 time stanley cup winners.
To answer your question from the last thread, I think Aardvark is the assistant program manager at a boomer rock station in Canmore, although I might have dreamt that. - Canada Cup
Amazing that he's entrusted with such responsibility....
St. Louis Blues fan here.
I believe the Leafs got this!
Tampa doesn’t look the same. Point does not seem dialed in enough.
I think once Toronto gets this first round win, the pressure will really thin out and they are going to roll the next round maybe 2.
For Toronto fans, I hope they win. Your kid’s generation should get to enjoy the playoffs and have some good series memories.
But… Go Blues! - Mph6689
I predicted blues leafs final at the beginning of the playoffs. I don't feel like the Blues are done and they're recharged after couple down years and overcoming silly drama with tarasenko.

McJesus will want to finish his career at home in Toronto when he will be 39 and the slowest guy on the team.
Except for him half speed would probably put him in the middle of the pack.
