Will be interesting to see if he can scores at the NHL level as well. Not always the case. But he should have opportunities at the camp I guess. - deadpoulet
Send him to the AHL I say.
Him and Kidney.
Let them develop.
We have so many overpaid wingers to play anyway.

Florida's 1st round pick the Habs own is their 2023 one
It's unprotected, so crossing fingers the Panthers have a tailspin crash season next year - stinger67[/quote
Hard to see unless they get into cap hell and even there...look at Tampa.

I'm gonna be the very boring guy here.
But I would be very open to leave Wright in the OHL for another season. - Scabeh
I wouldn't be opposed to that if HuGo decides it's what's best for him. |

agreed, next season has to be another tough season, protect the kids, let them grow up in the minors. I think Roy and Rein have to go back to Jrs though |

If he's not ready, I agree. Could be a circus next season with Montembaum, a weak defense and not much after Suzuki and Caufield up front.

next season HAS TO BE another circus...they need to finish in the bottom 3 teams in order to maximize their chance to score another high end talent. |

This will be decided after 9 games with the Habs… |

Habs are in no rush, it's all about development, they can afford to take a year or two to bring those guys with the team since next season is another bottom feeder year for them. |

I would just worry about a losing culture setting in. Look at Buffalo. Oilers are getting there but it took them forever to overcome that.
They may have no other choice with the cap and the pieces they lost though. |

With a first overall pick, you don’t do what you want…. We are not in the 70s anymore…
If he can play and develop, he will play in Montreal….
To send him back to Kingston would be decided by Habs Management, the agent, the mother, the father and the player himself…

Both of them have one year of junior left
It's NHL or QMJHL for them next season. |

Roy turns 19 in August. No need to rush him.
It's going to be fun hearing anglos pronounce his name on a regular basis.

Last time the Habs had that many prospects with Team Canada was the year of Gallagher, Bournival and Beaulieu |

yes, because if it applies to Lafrenière, it absolutely has to apply for every francophone player... |

then again, if there ever was a time where you have the luxury of living with the young guys' mistakes, it would be now... but yeah, no rush for sure, whatever needs to be done for proper development. |
