you don't trade #1 if you have a shot at a true 1C. Habs have a chance to finally fix that issue. Why get more of what you have with those other picks?

If you think Wright is that….

Neither of those teams would do that trade though anyway.

Florida's 1st round pick the Habs own is their 2023 one

It's unprotected, so crossing fingers the Panthers have a tailspin crash season next year

I think they should pick Wright as he may not be Crosby but still can be a very good 1 -2 punch with Suzuki…. Long time Habs did not have 2 good centers on their team…. You can’t miss that opportunity…

Now let’s say you pick Wright and he starts the year in Montreal, who you put on the wings? I think the Caufield Suzuki duo will remain and you end up with Drouin, Anderson and Hoffman to complete…

This is very thin…. Many says Drouin will be traded but not sure you can get a good winger in return to play with Wright…

When you look at the RFAs, I don’t see much there…. Bryan Rust??? We need to bring a reliable guy who can be the big brother guy(Drouin can’t do that…) Giroux??? The best I see is Bergeron but I don’t see that Nordique fan signing in Montreal…. Palat???

This is going to be very interesting summer!

I'm gonna be the very boring guy here.

But I would be very open to leave Wright in the OHL for another season.

Joshua Roy will be the next "Frenchy", he will play on Wright's wing and they will be awesome!
- Symba007

Will be interesting to see if he can scores at the NHL level as well. Not always the case. But he should have opportunities at the camp I guess.
