No thanks, guys 34 and beginning to regress (is benefitting from playing on Florida)
Why can't Tage be our 1C? only one full season there, definite room for growth.
I agree though that seeing Cozens at 2C would be nice but with Donnie and his love for Mitts that might not happen anyways - DirtyDan
Is he? Or was his regression the result if playing on a horrible Flyers team?
I'd say both, not one or the other. Playing on the 1st line is a benefit, yet he is also producing there very well....so ya gotta give it to him. If he was regressing, I'd expect to see 2nd or 3rd line minutes and his production falling considerably. That isn't what is happening.
Tage could certainly be a 1C in time for sure. Yet, at the same time, popping off like he has so dramatically also causes one to wonder if it is sustainable. I don't know if it is...but certainly hope so. We shall see.
There are so many questions all over this roster that I do think it is prudent to see what this roster is before making many dramatic moves. |

Would you comment on others blaming other objects for their struggles?
Maybe Blaiming a city ? Hometown city? - Boss34
Holy crap, that's not what I did. Seems I hit a nerve with you. You sound like a guy who hasn't earned a thing and is self-conscious about it. Jesus Christ lol. I said something, and none of it was bitterness and at no point was I trying to get hired or schmooze my way into something.
You want to have lunch and talk about it? We can go over to Fitz's place and be friends on a Saturday night. |

Wonder how jack would fit in a defense 1st system?
Trotz kinda runs a version of the trap, right?

He hadn't led that team in anything since 18-19
Tage popping off was unexpected but not surprising. He's always had a howitzer now he can control it. Getting the playmaking under control should be his next step.
As far as the ?? I want some additions to help with those question marks, stabilize the back end to help the youngins up front.

Hard to say what that team needs, but a Bar-B-Q Bruce style system might be fun to watch w that lineup. |

Ever think about moving to another place? - chilliard77
One step at a time, Chill. Buffalo isn't a good place. I love it, it's where I'm from and I miss it but it's just simply not a good place. If people can schmooze their way into a good life up there, good for them. They get to enjoy it. But not everyone was born in a good household and had doors opened for them.
I've tried to move several times. I've lived in Binghamton, Charlotte and Pittsburgh as well as my current city, Columbus.
Loved Charlotte. It's gorgeous, it's big and it's right there in the middle between the North and South, with a lot of people from a lot of different places. But it's extremely expensive and the jobs do not pay well enough for a working-class guy like myself.
Pittsburgh is also a gorgeous city. It's not too expensive, but the jobs also do not pay very well and it's not a convenient city to live in. The infrastructure can hardly support the population. It's worse than Columbus, honestly. But it's a cool town with great food and a lot of cool landmarks and places to visit. It actually has a history and it actually has a culture.
Binghamton... Well, the guy who just shot up Buffalo is from a small town just South of Bingo and that town, Conklin, is 100% Binghamton culture. It's the dirty South of New York. It's Pennsyltucky. He bought his guns from Endicott, where IBM used to be headquartered. I went to a bazaar in Endicott when I lived there. It was all Confederate Flags, guns, lawn jockeys and rednecks. I literally felt more unsafe there than any other bazaar I've been to, and I've been to third world bazaars in Turkey. But Binghamton is a special kind of awful. It's the most run down, jobless, economically depressed place I have ever been to, and I've been to Niagara Falls a lot so that's saying something. It was Trump Land before Trump happened. It's a racist, bitter, depressed poop-hole.
It's sad. Binghamton University used to be a Communist/Leftist stronghold in the 1960's. It used to be a very affluent place, actually. But all the industry up and moved all at once, and the town died a horrible death and the people become less than degenerate. I'll put it this way - I was working down there right before I moved back to WNY and a co-worker asked me what I thought of Binghamton. After living there for about 3 years, I said I didn't want to offend him but it's kind of the arm-pit of the Northeast. He shook his head and said "You're wrong... It's the bumhole of the UNIVERSE" and we laughed but he said "I know my hometown, believe me, it isn't good for anyone."
We live in a society of pathological liars. They don't like when you tell them the truth. They think you're being bitter or scorned, but I'm just one of the most brutally honest people you will ever encounter, really. Reality makes people upset and when you tell them the place they love sucks, they internalize it because they're insecure and devoid of personality. They build their whole lives and personalities off the town they're from, and it's really sad.
For what it's worth, I do plan on making it to Chicago within the next year or two. Columbus is a great stepping stone, really. It has a booming economy, it has a low cost of living and the jobs pay very well. It's a great place for a young professional and it's a good place for a working-class chum like myself to get on their feet. But it is not a blue-collar city by any means, and it grew up a little too fast.
Not everyone has a support network. Not everyone grew up in a good home. Some people have to claw their way up a small set of stairs. And not everything works out the way you want when you're truly on your own. Maybe I am bitter. But so is grapefruit. I'd rather be a grapefruit than a rotten apple like some people.

With the cap issues in Vegas, maybe hiring trotz and cutting back the payroll / play a boring defense style with lesser scrubs helps.
Bb q bruce would have them wide open.
Hope jack gets defense 1st...π |

I think it's ok to defend one's city despite knowing its flaws. Standing up for the strengths of a community is what helps us call home, home. I've lived most of my life in this community, and I'm fully recognizant of what we have to offer as well as the vast improvements we need to make. But I love this community for the good it can and does provide and do what I can to add to that.
I guess what I'm saying is that not every place is a horrible place. Even if those places need improvement. |

I love Buffalo. I didn't say everyone from there sucks and it's the worst place. You can only criticize what you know. And criticizing something means you love it. It means you want it to be better. Believe me, I do. But there's a reason it kept losing population until this past census, which was inflated by suburban children finally leaving their parent's houses. A corrupt mayor, a 4am last call and an attitude of "It's like that everywhere!" while also having the slogan "Keep Buffalo a secret" certainly do not help.
After this weekend, it's no longer a secret, unfortunately. Even BBC news picked up the story of the shooting. I'm actually dreading going into work today and hearing all the mouth-breathers talk about how it's a false-flag operation to take away their guns. |

Makes you wonder, huh?

its not capitalisms fault.. its the moral compass and greed of the individuals within the system.. Just like in theory communism should work, it never does because of the people that are implementing the system don't have the moral compass to do things fairly.. |
