I think so
But i don’t think it’s gets us past Tampa & Florida
So it would make more sense to go after a younger talent then Kane
DeBrincat (since we’re talking about Chicago) for example
Him & a 1A goalie gets us to the playoffs too
And it fits the timeline to continue developing our youth & building the team into a real Cup contender
Kane is unlikely to be here long enough for that - jdfitz77
I agree and don't want Kane, but once you're in you never know, especially if your G gets hot |

It does. But I don’t see that this off-season.
This off-season, fix the goalies.
Add a top 4 RHD. Slot joker as the third pair RHD.
Extend olo and Tage.
Use the year to see what mitts, cozens, JJP, Quinn, krebs develop into.
Evaluate in 2023 off-season and see what needs to be added to the forwards - Gr8daygo
If all we did this summer was get a legit “1A” goalie in here, I’d be ok with it
Sure, it would be nice to do more
But i think Samuelsson-Dahlin could be a legit top pair, just need to see it more
And the same with Power-Jokiharju
I think they could be a really good 2nd pair
If we get a top4 RD in here, then of course that’s ok too
But i don’t think we are desperate for it anymore with how Samuelsson has been looking
And for the forwards, if we don’t trade anyone away…. I’m ok moving forward with developing the young players & bringing up Quinn & Peterka
Assuming Tage & Skinner can continue to be 30+ goal scorers for us, i wanna see more of what the kids can do
Now if we can get a DeBrincat or Fiala or whoever that fits our timeline, then of course that’s great
But again, i don’t think we’re desperate for it |

True
But I’d rather use assets on a move that helps us go for it for a longer period of time
Bc even if Kane extends with us, how many more years is he legitimately gonna help give us a chance? 2, maybe 3 or 4 at most?
I think we’d be better served if we can improve ourselves for the meantime,
but also for the long haul as well |

I think it does, better goaltending alone gets us atleast 20pts this year and that's probably low. Lysowski had a article where the Sabres missed out on a possible 36pts this year. - Buff36
36 feels like way too many.
An average S% would have saved 21 goals.

And a goalie. Then roll the dice
But that isn’t Adams plan. So wishful thinking |

We lost 12 games alone when we had a 2 goal or better lead. We lost 16gms when we had the lead going into the 3rd period. The article is out there, see if I copied it. |

It's not that important. It's easy to selectively find games to pin on goalies.
They ended up 24th overall, 23rd GF, 25th GA, 25th SV%. Great goaltending turns them into the Islanders...if you ignore the impact of defense. They scored the same, but had a .913. |

Definitely agree goaltending was the major issue.
That is my number 1 off-season need and everyone else is most likely in the same boat |

GMKA is drafting players at 9 and 16. Prob Florida’s pick too. Big void in prospect pool in Rochester with all our guys expected to be on Sabres next year. He’s going to want that pipeline to continue |

Kane in ‘23-‘24 as a free agent makes sense.
Spending assets on Kane in 22-23 makes no sense.
I think I’d spend assets on one acquisition (goalie or top 4 rhd).
Which ever is not filled, goalie or RHD, with assets you need to free agent a guy.
I am not worried about the forward group. It might be nice. But it’s third on the list. - Gr8daygo
If kane agreed to a trade it means he wants to be here. Wait a year and get him for free then. With those extra assets in pipeline or ready to trade next year if he came here |

Tuch is not worth a first, he's ideally a 2nd liner on a good team. And you don't trade first round picks for 2nd liners.
Krebs is also not worth a first. On what (frank)ing planet is he worth a first when an actual established 1st line player in Reinhart is worth a late first and a goalie prospect. Zach Fucale says hi.
I've already made my position perfectly clear, (frank) him, let him rot, or he can finish out his contract. The only way I'm trading a player of his caliber is for a player of his caliber and age.
And why would I trade Barkov for a malcontent? And for those that think Barkov and Eichel are not equal, at least in relation to Reinhart: Barkov scored 1.31 points per game this year while Reinhart scored 1.05. The last full season Eichel and Reinhart played together(18-19) Eichel scored 1.06 and Reinhart scored .79. Barkov +.26 Eichel +.27. It's actually a lot worse for Reinhart in shortened 19-20 where Eichel was +.43. - Wetbandit1
Your values are skewed as you are comparing Reinhart's value as a rental compared to assets locked up long term.
Tuch and Krebs both individually had the value of a 1st round pick. |

He’s already told the media that he’s picking / using all 3 picks.
Obviously the Sabres / Adams can’t say the 1st round picks are for sale and look weak.
Adams saying we want to use all the picks is saying to the hawks that you better pay up
Shane wright isn’t a great number 1 overall pick talent. But the draft is strong and deep in the first round |

Not totally blaming it on the goaltending, the team folded around them in a lot of those games. But better goaltending would have helped. |

Goalie is number 1. Fix that and you fix a majority of the team losses we had this year. - Sabretooth9
Does the goalie score goals? Because they were tied for 22nd in goals for. |

There's a lot coming already, I agree about keeping the flow going, but for the right deal any of those picks should be available |
