Wright is first on every list. Sure mistakes happen but he seems to Say Cooley Will be better. Just wanted to know why that is.

He's saying Cooley might be better.

And for what it's worth, he's probably more of an offensive dynamo.

But Wright is a more well rounded player... not to mention bigger.

There's no choice to be made here imo.

i feel like he's been dead for at least a couple years and if someone would just close his eyes they would stay that way.

No they won't.

They are taking the best player of this draft.

And that's Shane Wright.

Anyone hinting at another player is just pulling the same crap they do every draft.

"Tyler vs Taylor"
"Ohhh maybe they'll pick Laine, he has quite a shot"
"I heard there's a team out there that likes Malkin more than Ovechkin"

It's not happening.

- Scabeh

Yes. Just tune out the crap the next 6 weeks, step to the podium and select Wright.

Done.

But I’m sure there will be thousands of posts over that time second guessing it all.

2019 I ran into him and his wife at the Wynn in Vegas. They were in the room across the hall from us. He looked dead then and both of them shuffled along like they could barely walk. He should just retire already.

Imagine how life would have been so much easier for Edmonton not having to select McDavid, Pittsburgh Crosby, Toronto Matthews, etc..

If you expect Wright to turn into Crosby, or McDavid, you will be disappointed.

Wright is their pick, no question about that, he's a center, two way center with great offensive upside.

Now who will they pick with CGY pick (25 to 32) and the 33rd overall. I have a feeling the Habs will package those two picks and move up in the draft with another mid round pick

I see him as a guy that will develop as a 2nd line center at worse, like a Danault if he doesn't pan out offensively, best case scenario is Bergeron.

the kid didn't play for a full year, there is still untapped potential in Wright in terms of progression, I just don't see anyway realistic they trade the pick.

and yes, the kid will get a standing ovation, his name chanted at the draft. Bell center will be full, not only the 1st overall but I expect Hugo to make a few moves on the draft floor.

I think Bergeron is a stretch. I’d compare to maybe a guy like Horvat as a comparable.

yeah, I expect them to trade up, or flip a few picks for next year.
Weber Petry Hoffman Armia. that should be at the top of his to do list.
Drouin and Byron at the next tdl.
