And there is no guarantee that Laf will be anything other than mediocre.

In fact, we can probably say, that there is a more likely chance that Laf is mediocre (at best), while Wright is just an unknown.

Again though... Galchenyuk-Huberdeau....

Sometimes it makes sense.


Though calls to make as we have no idea how both players will end up developing.

And I've said it before, I'd actually keep Wright. But It would be hard not to consider.

I think he's saying if you end up with the 2nd overall, if the projected first overall doesn't pan out, you didn't make that mistake.

But you can just as easily (frank) up the 2nd overall so..... I'd rather just get the best player of the draft.

Precisely my point. If you pick Wright first overall and Cooley becomes a stud, you made the mistake. If the other team picks Wright and Cooley becomes a bust, well...Wright wasn't available anymore.

Wright is first on every list. Sure mistakes happen but he seems to Say Cooley Will be better. Just wanted to know why that is.
