If, IF, the Leafs bow out in the first round again, does the coach keep his job?

What is the feeling amongst the fans about bringing in a legend like Wendel Clark or Doug Gilmour as head coach?

4-2 Leafs. Mik and Engvall with a 6 pass empty net goal to clinch. No you. No, no, I insist

Just curious, but why? Is it because former players often don't live up to expectations as coaches?

Neither Wendel or Gilmour are anywhere close to NHL calibre coaching possibilities, nor is either remotely interested in a job of that profile imo. Not sure you fully understand the Toronto market...

The way this series has been going, I fully expect the Bolts to lose tonight. If they win, it will be shocking and a pleasant bonus. I just hope it's not a blowout. Leafs over Bolts in triple overtime - Tavares with the game winner on a breakaway. He instantly becomes a hero and later becomes the mayor of Toronto after he retires.

I don’t think my body could take that kind of stress.

It was rigged
We need an independent review of this so called draft lottery.

Drafting 1st overall in montreal is too convenient, stop the steal

I don't understand NHL markets in general. I just saw a guy like MSL come into Montreal and shake things up. Nobody thought he was NHL coach material either and it's working out so far. Sheldon Keefe? I know he was brought up in the system, but he was an off-the-board pick compared to somebody like Babcock.

Gilmour has *some* coaching experience and is highly respected. Just throwing poop out there. If Keefe doesn't take the Leafs deep this year, I gotta think he's on the hot seat.

The Montreal Canadiens win the lottery and will select first overall in the NHL.

I'm already drunk, so a Bolts loss won't hurt me.

Here's how it does down :

Dying minutes of triple OT. Kucherov and Stamkos come in on a 2-on-1 against Holl. Holl blows a tire and it's suddenly a 2-0, and Kucherov makes a backdoor feed to Stamkos for a sure tap-in goal. Soup swings across and makes a legendary save and Holl collects the rebound. Tavares flies to center ice where he takes a Holl stretch pass and breaks in alone on Vasi. He dekes multiple times and puts home a 5-hole goal and the arena erupts.

No blowouts. This is how it ends.

Habs get the first overall pick, but in an extreme move, they go off the board and pick an unknown Mongolian goalie named Jabbersquat.
