I feel like this matchup is a little lopsided.

Can't we give him a tag team partner or something?

Frustrating time for Jays..picked by most the finish 1st in AL east, dont even look in the same league as the NYY so far, again sitting 3rd in div behind TB

They play TB next, so can see that going great also...

a very tough schedule to start, but again...they are supposed to be in the Yankees league competing with them not 5 games behind already

this sums it up

This is how things are going for the Blue Jays:

Gleyber Torres fly ball of 361 feet B4 that's a homer in seven ballparks clears RF wall for a three-run shot.

Matt Chapman fly ball of 390 feet T6 that's a homer in 13 ballparks is caught on LCF track for a sac fly.

Yeah they are all kinds of messy right now. They will turn it around I think.

Also I find it odd how some parks are different than others. A friend of mine likes it but it's odd to me. 390 should be a home run in all parks if hit in the same spot.

they will turn things around, barring a bunch of injuries, too much talent to not.

i dont mind diff parks having diff dimensions, but the Yankees stad is dumb with the really short rf

Muzzin's been doing pretty good for being finished. I guess Tampa isn't a good team or something. Funny innit.

Chuckle about that too. Wouldn't be this far along without him.

Hit when runners are in scoring position. It feels like they are in their own heads right now.
The couple of times the media overhyped the Jays, they seem to fall flat on their faces for a bit.

Still early though. But they havent looked good the past several series.

Agreed.
All recently built parks (past 15 years) should have the same diamond dimensions or at least relatively close (5ft difference)

I just made myself feel a little better by looking at Gausman vs Ray and Semien vs Espinal stats

Semien is wild, ZERO Hr in 28 games, OPS of 40 ..dam thats bad

Ray has looked decent for sure.
But Semien....that contract will not age well. He was never going to replicate that one off season...but not a single HR in 28 games? Ouch.
Im sure he'll turn it around and end with 20 HRS....maybe.

Signing that 175M/7yr contract has clearly kept him hungry.

5 nuthin, I don't want to get hit. Eww I'm so afraid.
- bobbyisno1

Nobody noticed Marner do it along the boards in the TB zone. Led to an odd man rush and sustained pressure. Marner got bailed out by Jack or else Leafs in big trouble. Also a dumb turnover on TB 3rd goal not to mention the pathetic shot block attempt on TB PP goal.

That whole sequence on the Rielly goal was super thick, rich and chocolatey with sprinkles.
- Zezel

You mean where Nylander fought through a hit on the boards then drew the defenders so JT was wide open?

JT did a great job of possessing the puck long enough for Reilly to get wide open.
