For as skilled as the Maple Leafs are, they sure go down easily.

Almost as easily as I’ll hand out a ban the next time you come in here to just troll as you have twice now in 2 or 3 days.

Now you know.

Closing it out in 6 would be extra tasty.

I thought the fix was on when Gio got that cheap ass penalty and then Bunting was hit from behind a foot from the boards.

Just read some of the exchanges with Mr spatso and Sens blogger
Kevin Francis

wow..something to see, spatso just annoying the poop out of anyone he comes in contact with

imagine bailing on your team, to jump ship to the Sens who are poop for years after...but trying your hardest to convince yourself and anyone else that you are happy about it all.

That was an entertaining read 😳

I don’t think so, but there’s a hearing coming up.

It looked nasty but I only watched a quick clip and then I flipped to something I cared about.

That whole sequence on the Rielly goal was super thick, rich and chocolatey with sprinkles.

Also realism:

1. Most of if not all of the pressure to win game 6 is very much on Tampa despite many of us here (me included) being nervous and struggling through “close out a series PTSD”.

2. No team has won 2 in a row in this series - so even if the series does have to go to a game 7….

3. A game 7 would be at home for Toronto - in front of a crowd that is clearly helping keep the Leafs motivated.

4. Tampa crowd isn’t quite a 50/50 split but I’d bet it’s close - lots and lots od Leaf fans there - listen to those “Soooooooup” chants and tell me I’m wrong. :-)

5. What would be better than to bounce Tampa out of the playoffs in Tampa if the Leafs can pull it off?

Seriously I hope Keefe is telling them game 6 is no pressure boys, just start the game not “playing not to lose” but rather like you did the last 2 periods of hockey and enjoy it. If they can play like that or even better defensively and not have to rely on Soup being all star Soup I like their chances to break the stupid “Vasi never loses 2 in a row” streak”!

Vasi is the boogie man so many Leaf fans just keep waiting to show up, here’s the thing though…….

It appears the 2022 Toronto Maple Leafs do not believe in the Boggie man & that’s glorious.

Go Leafs Go!

Leafs need to survive the first 10 minutes of game six, and 'settle in' to the game as best as possible. Then the pressure mounts on Tampa.

Unleash the Sandman (not really feasible but it would be fun)

I like that idea for next year, but for this year i think Gio has a better shot from the point.

Exactly this. They need to be prepared for how aggressive Tampa will be. They need to start the Matthews line as well.

me too!

when the call was made by the official out at centre-ice ... it did smell a "little rank"

but to showcase how inconsistent the calls have been in the series, watch a replay of the call made when Matthews was grabbed and subsequently went down.... the official who is approximately 5-6 feet away ... doesn't initially make the call - only makes the call when the fans erupt.

and then f___g Ron MacLean "once again" trying to deflect for the officials during the intermission panel discussion... its actually reprehensible what he says ... you can't defend this level of poor decision making.

it isn't biased officiating -it is just BAD

Nick Paul strips Rielly of the puck and gets a break away.. .and although I personally don't think it should be a penalty .. Paul's stick clearly comes into contact with Rielly's glove high up on the stick. If they are calling the standard, and if Marner's getting that hooking call... then Paul should definitely get the same.

The officials aren't even consistent from period to period.

I wonder what Wayne Simmonds gets if he grabs Kucherov in the same manner Maroon tried to engage with Matthews.

yeah .... exactly.

again... not biased - just BAD

It didn’t look bad when Matty 1st got grabbed and then I think he noticed the stick was stuck in between his legs. JMO

no - just no.

any idea statistically how much better the Leafs have been since the Sandman has been sleeping... .he's literally Jake Gardiner 2.0 - at least 1-2 brain farts every single game.

Such an odd play, Nurse has to cut that stuff out, the "greasy" under the radar plays. Like yanking Moore's skate out from under him, bush league stuff with the season on the line. I get the mind gaming behind it, but he's gotta be more in control as the #1 dman, let the 4th liners and bottom pairing dmen do that stuff.

I definitely took note of the Paul turnover on Rielly in the NZ
