I've said before that one of my best friends is an Oiler fan, and as such I watch and care to some extent . . . but he will not see their deficiencies. The D is so weak and the lack of depth at Forward is killing them.
He blames the goaltending. I mean, yeah, Smith is 40 and Koskinen is awful, but there are a lot of issues to go around there.
I watched that game with my friend, hoping for a better outcome, but sort of knowing it wouldn't end better - and I think the Kings are terrible.

I've had enough of this guy. I want the Leafs to win to finally get over the hump, but I also want the Leafs to shut this guy's smug, "I'm the smartest guy in the room" face.

It's funny too because if that comment were really true, it would reflect poorly on the coaching. Why not just say it's been a back-and-forth series, which it has been.

It was nice to see them swing the momentum and come back for the win, especially against such a great team, and to score tree in the the turd against Vasilevsky.
Speaking of which, Tampa hasn't had the edge in goaltending they should have, and I'm okay with that.

I don’t know if I can actually say I enjoyed watching that game last night.
Did the anger and anxiety of the first period outweigh the elation of the third?

Last night felt like this team found something I hadn't really seen before. For that reason it was very enjoyable for me. Let's hope they can keep it going.
Best two periods of total team play by a Leaf team for many years. Important to keep in mind that Tampa had their "A" game going in the first period. So, Leafs had to crank it up against a superior team that has a proven track record of dominating play once they get the lead. Impressive.
