Exactly my thought. Normally I dont like sacrificing one line for another, but with the 2nd line invisible at both ends, why not try to improve the 1st and maybe the 2nd gets a spark out of it. I have liked Kerfoot. Plus getting Tavares going is very important currently. It cant just be Marner and Matthews.

Has nothing to do with Toronto having 30 penalty minutes..? There was quite a bit of 4 on 4 but you have to think the crazy amount of penalties that Toronto has been getting all series is impacting ice time and messing with some guy's mojos.

There have been so many penalties in this series, it's crazy. I think honestly the reffing has been equal which is good, but they're calling so many little things which are never called in the playoffs. It's been consistent and even which is good, but my God the teams must be going insane with all the calls. That "tripping" call at the end of the 1st against Tampa was the best so far.

Disagree - you can't base it on what the goalie wants, no goalie EVER wants to come out of a game.

There was no value to leaving him in and risking injury in my opinion, the team was playing poorly and it appeared had no ability to come back so give him some rest and the kid some shots in case he does have to go in at some point.

Soup will be fine mentally, he's been pulled before and what really matters is what Keefe said to him when he pulled him (and none of us know).

Right, at that point the game was lost so the most important thing in that moment is your goalie's mental for game 5. Especially since he's proven to be a bit shaky with that. Going against what he wanted doesn't help that.

The narrative around Campbell though is his mental isnt the strongest. Fully get the argument of not wanting him hurt, but in this case, I wouldve either pulled him between periods or not at all.
