his 2 goals killed my under on the parlay
- drexel

Or was it pulling the goalie with 6 minutes left that lead to two empty netters?

Yup, he only scored 2 of the 3 goals.

I shall not walk down the aisle of celebrating meaningless goals with you but we can still be friends with the Benedicts...

Matthews has to be better.
- Fakepartofme

really? What has he not done yet? Matthews/Marner/Kampf have been the best forwards in this series

Keefe needs to start the Matthews line in Game 5, and double shift him..
Put Tavares, Matthews and Marner together for a few shifts. Also, stop taking dumb penalties

At that point, was Vasilevskiy even trying anymore?

It was 5-0

He needs to dominate, he has set the bar high.
Last night, outside of what an assist in a blow out...he didnt do much.
Also yes, start matthews wtf.
Im ok with loading up the top line for a bit.

Me too.. I'll let you know once his image is removed from milk cartons everywhere..

Tavares looks tired after every shift.. I assume it's because he's battling along the boards, winning battles and then can't find wherever Nylander skated to

I think Matthews and Marner will be better at home.. At least they are both playing more physical and battling for pucks.

People like picking on one or two players when the truth is the entire team was bad… and Nylander wasn’t the worst… not even close

Collectively, they weren't very good.. There are some plays that stick out more and we tend to focus on those.. Like the Nylander (controller disconnected) forecheck attempt.. Or whenever Holl's skate hit the ice.. Or Campbell not being able to stitch up that hole in his glove

Holl wasn’t as bad as you guys think and are obsessive about

Holl was only -1 and Rielly was -4 for instance

The plus / minus stat doesn't absolve Holl from his first shift give aways... His assist on the first Tampa goal set the tone and had the Holl team on their heals and they never recovered until it was too late...

Listen, (frank) Holl... He's our new whipping boy... It doesn't have to be just or right... This is Leafs Nation... We embrace irrationality... *hugs*

Hell throw tavares and Matthews together after penalties or a few times throughout the game. They’re both getting shafted for ice time with all the penalties. They shouldn’t be to tired.

Tavares had 13:50 mins of ice time last night.
