I think if you give Nylander some better defensive line mates, it will lead to the offensive opportunities he needs - like it did for the last 3 weeks of the season.

I think if you move Nylander away from Tavares and replace him with Mikheyev, it adds a faster and more defensive element to that line that it misses.

You don't want Nylander and Tavares together. Neither one is good defensively nor are they particularly aware. JT is too slow and Nylander has the worst gap control on the team. This strengthens both lines - it can't make line 2 any more ineffective, and it gives line 3 a possible offensive catalyst.
