Back up the Brinks truck, offer partial ownership, give him a regular solo customer night at Club Risque, rename the Walt Whitman bridge after him, rename New Jersey to New Trotz and give him ownership of the City of Voorhees.
Whatever it takes. - MBFlyerfan

think he could get vegas further based on the roster. Jets seem to be in the middle somewhere.

I like Trotz, but only one coach has won cups with different teams in the modern era (Scotty Bowman). Not that it makes it impossible, but I just question if the hunger is there. Maybe it is with him after getting fired.
I think his style would be good for this team.

Thinking about it Trotz would be a perfect fit for the Flyers....chock full of 200 foot players. - Glak18
He did turn a pretty rag tag Isles team around with just solid up tempo in your face style.
Would not mind Trotz.
Again, we can't go much lower in every statistical department.

Trotz would be a good fit for Flyers, but Flyers are not a good fit for Trotz |

I do not think Trotz will come to Philly. We do not have a roster for him. - missingmike
When he took over the Islanders, they were coming off a season where they were dead last in the NHL in GAA and a non-playoff team that went on to lose John Tavares to unrestricted free agency. The very next year, there were No. 1 in GAA. The Flyers situation wouldn't frighten him off in the least. Remember, he'd also been the head coach of the expansion first-year Nashville Predators when their best player was an aging, declining Cliff Ronning and there was only one 20-goal scorer on the team.

This is true, pretty much anyone on this board could coach the Flyers next year and I'm not sure it could get much worse.

Honestly if the Flyers are only going to look at the "retreads" and experienced NHL coaches then they should fax Trotz a contract offer today. |

Depends on what his priorities are really. That is what it will ultimately come down to.
Then he can retire with a senior advisor role... |

I agree, Trotz stile of coaching is exactly what this team needs. I am afraid he would not want another big "DIY project" on his hands. |

Bill mentioned it before...EVERY coach wants to turn a team around, that's legacy right there. Not many want to just slide into an already built situation.

Oh My God You take the biscuit, Treating me this way.
Expecting me to treat you well no matter what you say
How can I turn the other cheek? Its black and bruised and torn
I've been waiting since the day that I was born
How can we fill this space between us?

Let's hope.
Just for fun, if every coach considered coming here, what would be everyone's preferred hiring order? |
