As for the draft lottery tomorrow....

I have three tiers.

1) Wright, Slafkovsky, Cooley, Nemec
2) Savoie, Kemell, Jiricek
3) Everyone else, although I really do like Lekkerimäki

Tier 1...Really excited about for a potential impact player.
Tier 2...Not as excited, but still a potential impact player.
Tier 3...More of what they have.

Depending on how the balls drop this should be pretty easy, but for some reason I just don't feel confident.

Sure is as 5th > nothing. No matter how you will try to spin it.

Yeah, that may be overstating the case just a bit. Though the underlying fancy numbers back it up, as has been said, the bottom line is production. Though I will state that at least not giving up goals is a good start. Hopefully the production starts to match the stats next season.

That means we end up with Jiricek and he re-injuries his knee in preseason. Development gets stunted by a couple years, finally makes an appearance and looks amazing then hurts his toe.

For as good a coach as he is, he isnt the fit for where the flyers are at. At the end of the day what is he going to want? Help mold young players and contend in a few years or a vet team that is somewhat close that also has good young players with a decent window to win.

I won't be unhappy with Trotz as there is no doubt in my mind that he will drastically improve the Flyers. However, I'd prefer a coach with a different style of play.

I hope he sees that there is potential here and an influx of youth happening soon.
I'd be very comfortable with Trotz helping to mold this young talent that we have here.
If we are going after a familiar NHL coach then Trotz should be the guy that CF goes after, hands down
