So Lee is now comparable to Farabee but not Frost, even though he's almost a decade older? You constantly move the goalposts - TobyFlenderson
Farabee would be our top LW would he not? He plays both sides and is frankly the best winger we have. Lee plays top line LW for NYI. Forget age. The comparasons are not supposed to be for every exact detail.
Ill simplify it. If Fletcher added Lee to be our top line LW next season would you be happy with that.

Lee turns 32 in two months, so probably not. |

Trotz would come here and likely get this team to play much better. Though with this core group still in place not so sure. He would have them over achieve. Then at the end of the day they wont win squat. Not his fault as the talent isnt there.
All that does is extend Chucks career as Flyers GM. Then back to square one. |

How so?
Does Lee not play top line LW most of the time on the Isles - yes or no?
The answer is he does. Therefore the typical 40-50 point season is not good enough for the top line.
If Hayes is not good enough for 2nd line C at 40-50 points why would Lee?
Simple question. If the Flyers added any player off the Isles forwards not named Barzal, Wahlstrom and Beauvilleir would you be thrilled with the add? - xShoot4WarAmpsx
How so? Read your posts and the babbling you've been doing. How you're constantly changing the argument to avoid one thing. Simply realizing that you're wrong.

Disagree. Konecny is the best winger we have, followed by Atkinson. Those two are real close. Followed by Farabee. You can't even properly evaluate your own team that you root for.

Do the Flyers have the legs/size to execute his forecheck scheme? This team already tried "strategic dump & chase" with AV with little success. - Tomahawk
No, I don't think so but he would improve the team. I just don't think he is a long term fit. |

Im not changing any argument.
The fact is you cant comprehend than Lee is not a good player and he is past his prime.
My argument has always been the same. Lee, Bailey, Parise and Palmeri are not players you win championships with in your top 6. All 4 players are playing above their means. Should I also point out Lee was demoted to the 3rd line late last season and his ATOI dropped to 16 mins? Clearly a good player. Flyers would be much improved with him

Had this exchange with Bundy which was very interesting..
Chris Therien
I would be shocked if they spent another five or six million considering they still owe AV 10 million.
MB
Bundy do you think the Flyers will cheap out on the hire just because they still owe AV money?
Chris Therien
MB yeah I think this is a problem for a couple of reasons. Yes the price tag is going to be too high. This team has lost tons of money and even though Comcast is the parent owner they try to run it independently. And number 2I don't think this team is qualified enough to have a coach like Barry Trotz at its helm, right now. This is a rebuild.. I can't imagine he'd want to come for that although money does talk and if any company has it and can waste it it's this company

I actually agree with MJL. That is not to say that down the line, and not too far down the line, Farabee will be our best winger unless we draft a monster stud in the next few drafts.
Points wise you cant really argue it atm.

Sure you are. You went from they don't have anyone but Barzal to not top 6, to not first line and now that Lee is not a good player and he is past his prime. He scored 28 goals. Now it's these players are not players you win championships with. You progressively changed your argument after being proven wrong. In the end, changing the argument again on the Flyers being improved with Lee. As if anyone even in the slightest manner insinuated that.

You can think that all you want but Farabee is not currently the Flyers best winger. He may be in the future but he is not now. If we look at the simple facts, Konecny not only led the team in scoring but he drove play better than any other winger. Now I know you're accustom to calling the facts drivel as evidenced by this and your Islander comments. There is no argument.

I waiting to see what his opinion on Gronborg is.
Bundy thinks Tocchet should be the guy. Or at least, that is the impression I get.

Florida is in big trouble. They better get their collective arses in gear or they will be another in a long line of Presidents Trophy chokers. |

There is zero chance that Comcast actually treats the Flyers as a wholly independent business.
Comcast owns the network and the content it airs. They absolutely call every shot. |

I don't believe that to be true. You think Comcast is going to tell Fletcher which players to sign or which trades to make?

I think Comcast gives the Flyers a budget to work with and gives approval for major expenditures.

True, but then take into account how many games Farabee missed due to shoulder injury this year, as well as the fact that when he returned to play, they had him trying to play center as well. Those have to be taken into consideration if you're looking at point totals to determine just how good a player he is. They clearly had an effect on him. |
