And no fines? How is it Forbort and Machy both got fines but nothing for the Canes? Bloody high stick (just like Forbort) and a cross check to the face???

Let him play. It's an advantage to have him on the ice (frank)ing up and creating PP opportunities.

Going to be a tough one tonight without Mcavoy on the road. Keep it a low scoring game and let the pressure mount and take advantage. Kind of feeling an overtime game tonight

Hoping they can lock it down. Going to need swayman to be a wall tonight. I expect carolina to shut down the top line tonight with last change. Going to be interesting.

Tougher to contain the top line with Pasta on it. I expect both teams to play pretty defensive tonight.

True, just wish they didnt have to rely so heavily on that line. Depth players need to step up.

Yuck. What an awful effort. If that's how they're going out they deserve it.

They were so soundly defeated in this one. Night and day between game 4 and game 5.

Every member of this defense is either soft or terrible with exception the of McAvoy. Both in Carlo's case.

Pivotal game and they had zero energy until they went down 4-0. Stand no chance in the playoffs if you play that poorly on the road. At least in games 1 and 2 they came out hot but couldn't score. Lots of complaints from last night.

Not only did they not try to get in Deangelos head. They let him destroy them last night.

I don;t get it. They send McAvoy down on a private jet. I was ready to run through a wall when I heard that. How could they come out so flat?

I think Clifton has been pretty solid on the third pair. The third pair overall has been good enough. Gryz keeps melting in the playoffs

I thought keeping him over Krug was the right call. After this season I'm thinking otherwise. He has been bad all year.

I hate how all the D that have been disappointing all season had a really promising game in game 4, then turn around and poop the bed in game 5.

I like Cliffy. I would keep him for the bottom pairing or a 7th D. Find a way (if possible) to get rid of Forbort, Reilly and Gryz. The defense needs a different look

i have trouble believing that having the last shift change can make such a Jekle and Hyde difference in the team.
I was really high on Carlo a couple years ago, but he just hasnt improved as a player

McAvoy provides 90% of the offense from the back end. Missing having that extra punch that keeps the pressure in the O zone. They are leaning so heavy on McAvoy right now to do just about everything.

I don't know, they had several chances early in the game (Wags and Marchy both point blank) but couldn't capitalize and then things died on the vine.
In now way was this game the official's fault but I am getting tired of the only player going to the box out of a scrum is a Bruin.
Carlo is decent at best but he has absolutely no mean in him...he is so soft.
The list of passengers is long...Nosek, Smith, Foligno, Coyle, etc., etc...

Yeah the officiating did not help. The penalty only on forbort was ridiculous. Then Nosek takes a blatant knee on knee. Not called.

Anyone else think Hall and DeBrusk are bad on the same line? Two guys who need someone to set them up are relying on Haula. Haula has been serviceable in that spot, but that line just doesnt seem to click like it did with pasta on it.
