I’m starting to think that Edzo knows more about horses than hockey.

I guess when you're betting tens of thousands of dollars on every race, you make it your business to learn all the ins and outs.

I believe this is a good analysis. For each of the player's development, their may even be a desire whom to pair with and even some consideration the five man unit. What situations will they not flounder in when they get next prolonged NHL stint.....so carefully manage all these prospects.

Your point about Beaudin is interesting too. Entering his next year as a pro he has become much stronger although perhaps still rather easily pushed off by stronger NHL players. Nonetheless he has definite skill to be drafted where he was and how he progresses could suddenly be a surprise some point next season - or later. Sometimes you have to keep grinding away and working to improve or neutralize an opponent defensively. Beaudin can see himself how abd why Galvas and Mitchell have been good. In turn down the line it MAY be possible Beaudin returns to the NHL ponds. Beegevin wanted him; remember? A former dman was obviously trying to see the finished product and like his skill/ strong points

It is all.about improving. Repetition and knowing what to do quickly without hesitating too long, for example, in puck retrieval and disbursement when an oncoming freight train is bearing down on them

Imo Beaudin will be a throw in a trade. I could also see Vancouver trading boser to jersey for their 2022 1st they are possibly shopping.

Last time Vancouver traded a player (Schneider) for a first round pick it worked out well for the Canucks (Bo Horvat).

I’d suspect Mitchell will be the front-runner, but by no means a shoe-in. Galvan, Regula and Vlasic all played surprising well during their cups of coffee with the Hawks. Vlasic was particularly good, but for his long-term development he should be playing big minutes in Rockford next season.

Edit: Beaudin won’t be exempt from waivers next season (per Cap Friendly) so I wonder if he’ll figure into the Hawks plans to start the season. Beaudin hasn’t been great, but another team may claim him. I could see Beaudin dealt, or being added as a throw-in on a bigger deal.

I am curious if Vlasic sees much minors.

The guy is a real good skater, much better skater than Regula. The Hawks seem to have more talent on the right side, much weaker on the left which leaves a door open for Vlasic.

I just saw David Quinn is coaching the Worlds USA team. He would be a prime candidate IMO for the Hawks job if they haven’t decided already that they are bringing back King. Will be interesting to see how the Jones brothers play under Quinn.

What i saw was a very nice compliment to Seth Jones. 82 games in the NHL we definitely will see some growing pains, but rather see growing pains than Gusto or deHaan next year.

As far as Regula, it sure seemed McCabe played his best this year when Regula was his d partner.

Next season will be interesting

Watching the Rags and Pens, maybe we'll have a young line like Kakko, Chytil, Lafreniere

And it ecomes just another twist or turn when the playoff teams take turns beating each other. Anyone want to predict what teams advance. And why you choose them.

Q might the stable of NYR young thoroughbreds both forwards and dmen, cost them the series
With mistakes?

As fans we’ll have to settle with Entwistle, R Johnson, Katchouk.

Close enough.

Curious your thoughts on if Vlasic should be kept in RKF for a yr or even 2? Love his slow and steady path of coming up thru the Mission system, 2 yrs at the NTDP and 3 full yrs with BU to where he is now but is still young turning 21 in June.

Kid seems to understand the value of developing without cheating the time table. I'd rather see him play AHL a yr more than needed than less.

I am always reminded the value of playoff experience. Panthers, Rangers, Kings are fighting up hill battles because they lack it.

I was at this game, I've never been anywhere louder for a moment in time. The entire game was a series of near misses. When we scored i couldn't even hear myself cheering. Madhouse on Madison what an experience.
