That's where I'm at at the end of the day. Trust the coach. I do believe he is a negative and you can coast by with that during the regular season, this is the time of year small negatives get exposed and sink you. But trust in coach. 🤷🏻♂️ - joel878

I’ve never seen a hockey team put out feelers to try to hire a knowledgeable fan, and that’s what we all think we are. |

Apparently both Simmonds and Clifford are out if Kase can go.
Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Nylander-Tavares-Anderson*
Mikheyev-Kampf-Kerfoot
Engvall-Blackwell-Spezza
Kase on the second line if he can go. - winsix
Not sure I love this. JT-Willie ...when together had some terrible defensive stats. Cooper's going to shower them with Stamkos and Kucherov. Hope they're up for it.
Also - Perry and Moron and licking their lips at that 4th line.
Lets just play the Matthews line 30 minutes. When SKaLaPy was 24 years old he could run a marathon up hill with a Keg of beer on each shoulder. |

I would have preferred Clifford in, Blackwell out on L4. They need size in front of Vasi. Some Leaf goals in G1 involved traffic in the crease. A L4 of Clifford-Spezz-Engvall is big, and both wingers can skate.
Also, with Simmonds and Cliff out, watch for a full on clown show from Perry and Maroon. |

Good post!
Leafs are on year six since Matthews was drafted. They have showed steady improvement over that time. They added talent first and are at the point of adding, pieces to the core. When you say big athletic hockey players are you referring to players like Josh Anderson and Poon Jenner? Those players are generally scoring in the 30 to 45 point range as opposed to a softer talented pleyer like Nylander who scored 80 points this year.
Don't you think its easier to add some grit at the TDL than to add another 80 point scorer? - winsix
All cromulent points and questions
I think that the leafs cap room and picks would’ve been better spent keeping guys like marchment and investing long term in relatively young FA/trade acquisitions like anderson and poon jenner.
i doubt that wilson is available anymore
Guys like manson, deslaurier, and greenway come to mind
obviously, you can’t have a team consisting of guys like this but i would take 2 of the aforementioned over one willi or marner |

Baked lemon pepper chicken with sweet potato fries and some Basil Hayden's for desert. Hopefully it all goes down smoothly with a Lightning win. If not, then hope for a split and then it's best of three.
Edit : forgot to mention the grilled onions.

Not a KD fan, to be fair, been decades.
Picked up 12 wagyu sliders at Bruno's, imagine they will only take a couple of minutes.

Nice! During the summer we make Fancy Kraft. Add our home grown tomatoes and basil. Delicious too. |

Only real move I am uncertain about is Holl coming in. That said experience in the playoffs so maybe…. Have no issue with Clifford or Simmonds out at all. See how it goes but we need to push the tempo and skate, and find a way to beat Vas early too. He is the real threat and killer out there. |

There's a lot of things I'd rather eat then KD, but sometimes after a 13 hour day it's better to make a 3 dollar box of KD with some crap in it than to spend 80 bucks on delivery. I like it enough to eat it occasionally. |

Leafs can still play physical without Simmonds and Clifford.. Look at the Matthews play that led to the Bunting goal in game 2.
Mikheyev, Bunting, Engvall, Matthews, Kampf can all finish their checks... Holl is supposed to be more "physical" than Liljegren, right? |

Not a huge fan of hard liquor. I have some scotch (mostly gifts and some cognac in the cellar - given away alot of it). I heard an 80 yr old bottle of Scotch was selling for $140K last week in Calgary, so maybe i should have held onto some of those.
