Jon Cooper, asked about Jack Campbell: "We've scored seven goals on him the last two games. So if he's going to sit here and have a 3.50 goals-against average in every two-game set we'll take that."

He’s chirping, when soupy has a 2.37 gaa in the playoffs and Vas has a 3.72 gaa?

Nylander basically invisible again, time to trade him offseason for picks or prospects, we will need cap room for mikeyev and campbell, boosh and engvall....

Dubas would be a magician if he can lose the Tavares contract too..... he just isnt worth 11 mill at this point.....we could add to defence with a nice 4 5 or 6 mill player

I have said it all series.

Cooper keeps saying the wrong things. He is looking for excuses and contradicting himself.

Cooper seems to have an overinflated opinion of himself. In front of the cameras he acts like he’s the second coming of Scotty Bowman.

The difference being that Bowman was a humble guy.

He has been a bad coach this series

Some of the good coming out of the previous playoffs has been Keefe has had chances to learn how to coach in playoffs. This was his first 82 game regular season. Team and coaching staff are hitting their strides it would seem. It's only half a series but they are in each game, even in game 2 they weren't out of it.

Bruh...leafs are up 2 - 1 in the series with this apparent shoddy team you speak of. I don't know how much better they can get.

Leafs currently are icing 4 5.5+ million dollar dmen. I don't know what else you want from them? I think it's time to cool it with the hate on the team while they are still in the playoffs. Let's not worry about contracts until after the parade.

He’s been real calm and relaxed. Cooper tries to use the media to play little games but Keefe hasn’t taken the bait.

Jon Cooper on uptick of whistles in playoffs: “Just speaking for our series, most of these penalties are deserved. Both teams need to recognize that.”

Joe Smith
@JoeSmithTB
Jon Cooper: “The parade to the penalty box is getting exhausting.”

Cooper is getting senile

- Santo_44

pretty simple really - especially for such an "intelligent" coach.

1) recognize that Keefe owned you with his pre-series "expect violence" commentary
2) recognize that the Leaf's trouble makers got penalized for hits and roughing - legitimate penalty calls
3) recognize that you Jon Cooper send your goof balls out every second shift with the sole intention of running the goalie and starting a scrum - and that its very much obvious to everyone at this point
4) recognize #3 above and have your guys actually play hockey - and if they can't don't play them

Cooper and his in-game facial expressions and attempted physco-babble in press conferences can eat shyte... its boring actually

There's lots of love for our beloved Leafs after 3 games. Games 1 and 3, the Leafs looked way faster. Bolts looked a bit old and slow.

Game 2 should have been closer, but Soup had a very average game in my opinion. Leaning the wrong way and guessing wrong on a couple of goals. He has been more than steady overall and "the save" from last night was spectacular and likely a game (or maybe even series) saver.

But please, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Bolts are still the defending Champs and likely have more to give. Don't count them out until the fat lady is singing loud and clear.

Game 3's third period was a really good test for the Leafs. A real character and confidence builder that's needed to grow, be more resilient and becoming a real playoff threat.

M & M looked quite shaky last night. Missing easy simple passes. I asked myself out loud if Matthews was dealing with an injury or something. Despite that, their skill offered them some excellent chances to ice the game anyway. If they have a big game 4, and the 2nd line wakes up, Tampa will be put to the test. The Leafs will be hard to beat.

Tampa's record of not losing 2 in a row should be taken seriously. They're talented, tough and battle hardened. Taking game 4 would be huge of course and will go a long way to putting the odds of advancing in the Leafs' favour, but we all know the Leafs never make it easy on themselves.

Buckle in buys, there's still one hell of a ride in front of us.

Anybody else a little annoyed that the Leafs are playing one of the only teams without a goalie controversy?

Carolina down to their 3rd stringer
Washington is all over the place
Boston has a rookie and an ex-Sabre
Blues going with a rookie over their expensive guy
Penguins down to their 3rd stringer
Edmonton going with a 40 year old
Nashville on their 3rd stringer

- AdamFrench

I'm glad the Leafs didn't end up playing Boston, because although Tampa tries to start a scrum after most whistles - they haven't actively gone after Campbell to aggressively to this point. Bruins completely targeted Carolina's goalie

I find it interesting that so many are expecting Florida to advance based on their regular season. The same "experts" claiming the Leafs failures of years past due to being inexperienced and young. Yet, the Panthers are neither experienced or mature... I see Washington taking that series in 6.

Yup, I know Florida has a boat load of talent so I’m kind of happy about their inexperience.

Either way the leafs were 1-0-2 this year against them and that’s not good whereas they were 3-0 against Washington… so yeah I’d prefer that
