Oh I wore DR horse hair stuffed pads as a kid. After they got nice and wet they would be 10 lbs each. Lol

I’ll get modern gear but that looks like old school.

Something like this but I’d likely go white where the black is.

I had an even older pair of brown pads when i started....very similar to johnny b's.
My gawd they were so heavy.

Holl was responsible for the first goal against. He never should have pinched.

John Brown makes incredible stuff. , I had a Brown goalie cup for years and a Chestie at one point too and pants for a bit. They were all the most protective stuff I had ever owned but insanely heavy. The Chestie I had to sell as I was simply sweating way too much in it. The new stuff is so protective and light it’s crazy.

True. But he may have prevented a goal at the same time. Just for a few seconds anyway.

Or he plays his position, no penalty no goal.

I'm all for keeping the lineup in that wins, but there's probably something to be said about anticipating the other team's moves.

I'd assume Tampa will play a much more hitting/pest driven game for game 4. Perry and Maroon were a big part of their game 2 win while playing that way and tonight they weren't.

Leafs did well with discipline tonight but I think Tampa throws it all at us in game 4 in a borderline dirty way. So do you put in 1 of Clifford/Simmonds to counter that? Can you trust them not to take penalties while playing hard? And do any of the forwards tonight deserve to sit? Probably not. But I worry that gives Tampa an advantage for game 4.

Situational hockey, again you're up 3-0.

You began the period up 2-0. Mental mistake.

With Tampa having last change we cannot afford to risk having those plugs stuck on the ice against one of Tampa’s top 2 lines.

Maybe when at home and have more control who they match up again.

Sure, but a lot of times up 3 isn't enough for this team.

Yeah this is a good point. Last change is a huge way to take advantage of both of their shortcomings.

I wish we had like 1 or 2 more depth rotational guys to bring in and not be a liability.

All the more reason not to pinch? A bad pinch and you're up 2.
