The only one I thought was a little cringy was Simmonds on Perry in front of the net. That shove/tackle happens after every net front whistle.

I forget the brand of beer they had in Barbados the only time I went, but I agree, the piss water for a buck a beer (Bajan) was amazing in the sun on the beach.

I drank the poop out of Piton beer in St Lucia ....probably the same ..probably garbage ...but yellow lager in the island heat (or with some spicy food) is a match made in heaven.

Is there a way Kyle can trade Tavares & his burdening contract in the off season?

I see you and Joel in back-to-back posts both comment on playing Simmonds and Clifford.

I agree that you need that toughness to some extend, but I'm questioning if Simmonds is really bringing it. He almost seems distracted by the expectations on him. He's going out of his way to create muck and paying far less attention to the game around him - which is hurting us when he's both on the ice and in the box. At this point if we made the decision to dress Simmonds, it would be a "last chance to do something useful" situation.

In opposition to my comment, Blackwell seems easily pushed around and less effective right now. I'm not sure if Spezza can get much done pulling around two slugs - so unless you're doing one of Clifford/Simmonds with Spezza and Kase or Blackwell, I think the fourth line will continue to have problems. I mean when I look at this:

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Kerfoot - JT - Nylander
Engvall - Kampf - Mikheyev
Kase - Spezza - Clifford/Simmonds

(and maybe it could be debated whether you flip Nylander and Mikheyev to accentuate some scoring and defense) it seems to me that it offers more offensive upside. I'm not sure having BOTH Simmonds and Clifford in the line up on the same line adds much benefit. They are only on the ice for about 8 minutes / game, and that 8 minutes is at the same time.

I thought he was pretty good (in his role) in game 1 and obviously was NOT in game 2.

Keefe needs to determine if he can find that balance. I also (maybe incorrectly) feel like Cliffy plays that hard skating fearless agitator role better when Simmonds is out there.

Tough call ...but nice to have options.

I've been doing a deep dive into the Creemore offerings of late: the amber lager, pale ale, kellerbier, and lot 9 pilsner are all outstanding.👍

I once drank a 24 of Amstel Lite on a fishing trip in Muskoka and thought it was the best tasting thing ever.

the Team just had its most successful season in team History, smashed the team points record, most wins. a Legit dominant team (with some really rough goaltending)

Tavares scored points at pretty much his career average rate.

What is he doing thats stopping the team from being really good?

Yup - a lot to be said about atmosphere.

My grade 11 May long weekend was full of Old Milwaukee. It was so much fun that I didn't notice how poopty the beer was.

Fans create stupid narratives

Tavares had a great year and is dominating in the dot. Bergeron gets credit for his FO skills but JT does not?

Some people just can not enjoy anything, it is a best of 5 series right now and the 1st game was fun as (frank) to watch. Enjoy the ride.

Speaking of beer - I was down in Kentucky recently to see a concert (Chris Stapleton, Cheryl Crow and Willy effin' Nelson! it was amazing) and had a couple of these & they were/are delicious.

I would be ok if both were back in the lineup.. As long as they don't do anything dumb after the whistle or you know, get suspended again. I do think one of them sits tonight though.

I would sit Blackwell as well, and put Spezza in.

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Mikheyev-Tavares-Kase
Engvall-Kerfoot-Nylander
Clifford-Kampf-Spezza

- PatC80

If he went for speed and some skill on the 4th line ...he could go

Cliff-Blackwell-Kerfoot

I thought Kase played a lot better with JT and Mik ....although everybody looked good on night 1.

Maybe Keefe throws a curveball and puts Simmonds and Clifford on separate lines tonight?

I like this, If it were me I'd go Clifford over Simmonds. He's been quicker and heavier on the body down the stretch.

I just don't like the idea of leaving Tampas goons completely unchecked.

Put Clifford on the 3rd line with Kerfoot and Nylander.
Roll a 4th line of Engvall-Kampf-Simmonds.

Mikheyev and Kase flanking Tavares.
