St.Bernardus Abt 12 is a rich, fruity, dark caramelly nutty beer, great with dark fruit cake or chocolate.

I do like the Rickard Red and I usually like to order a draft pint of it.
Not sure about the White.

this not ground for ending a friendship unless he bring Labatt's 50 or Blue

I'm probably crazy but if I'm Keefe I'm doubling-down. I'd dress them both (sit Blackwell) with instructions on finishing checks hard and just keeping it inside the lines. We need the energy and I think that TB 4th line is going to want to play hard at home. Those two keep them honest and hopefully can change the narrative ...get Moron to take a dumb penalty or two.
- The Law

Ant afford to let the Tampa fourth line out hockey them. Sit Simmonds, add Clifford.

In short, yes

Frankly anybody that gravitates towards red beer in general is probably untrustworthy

yup

If I go to someone's house and see a case of Rickard's red in the Garage, I'm getting out of there like Clarice in Silence of the Lambs when she sees the butterflies in Buffalo Bill's house.

Ice cold corona on a hot summer day beats choking down an imperial stout when it's 30 degrees out just to look cool

Now I'm not saying there's not a time and a place to drink a flanders red ale, or an irish red ale, or even a nut brown ale occasionally (maybe a pint poured out of a tap), but if you bring a case to a party that's different

I forget the brand of beer they had in Barbados the only time I went, but I agree, the piss water for a buck a beer (Bajan) was amazing in the sun on the beach.

The other guy is bringing 4 St. Bernardus Abt 12.

- AdamFrench

Ugh, a fruity beer.
Maybe end it with him.

Do your friends have to send you ahead of time what kind of beer they are bringing?

So out of curiousity, what's the move if you're having a casual hangout for a game and someone shows up with a 40 of rum?

Keefe went power v power for the most part so far.

Matty v Stammer and Snake v. Point/Cirelli. I'm okay with JT being 0-0 (5v5 goals) with the Point line.

If his line can stay even with Point and then make a difference on the PP. I'd be good with that from him.

I think our top line and our 3rd line can win their battles (they have to).

4th line and special teams have to be better than Game 2.

- The Law

I don't put this all at JT's feet, either. He needs support from his wingers to help. So far his line - and his linemates are practically random at this point of the series, too, so there's a lack of stability - has given up more decent chances than it's generated and that may be concerning as the series progresses, so seeing them step it up and control more play would help overall. Who can you move onto Line 2 and still keep Line 3 effective? How do we get Line 4 from being completely caved in - which is a larger issue as well - I mean Simmonds and Blackwell (as we've all noted ad nauseum) aren't getting it done. Tweaks here and there and the right personnel.

We're only 2 games into a long series, but I like what I've seen overall from the team. I have to admit that going into the playoffs I had been unimpressed with our PK of late and admittedly we're going to have to stay out of the box, but also tighten up on the PK because it's not likely Tampa's going to get 0 chances the rest of the way. That's sort of also not exactly a revelation!

They also need to send their blood type, trucking license, political party affiliation and vax status as per your usual recommendations.

Well they should have brought whiskey or Scotch.
But I guess you make a courtesy drink for everyone.

I see you and Joel in back-to-back posts both comment on playing Simmonds and Clifford.

I agree that you need that toughness to some extend, but I'm questioning if Simmonds is really bringing it. He almost seems distracted by the expectations on him. He's going out of his way to create muck and paying far less attention to the game around him - which is hurting us when he's both on the ice and in the box. At this point if we made the decision to dress Simmonds, it would be a "last chance to do something useful" situation.

In opposition to my comment, Blackwell seems easily pushed around and less effective right now. I'm not sure if Spezza can get much done pulling around two slugs - so unless you're doing one of Clifford/Simmonds with Spezza and Kase or Blackwell, I think the fourth line will continue to have problems. I mean when I look at this:

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Kerfoot - JT - Nylander
Engvall - Kampf - Mikheyev
Kase - Spezza - Clifford/Simmonds

(and maybe it could be debated whether you flip Nylander and Mikheyev to accentuate some scoring and defense) it seems to me that it offers more offensive upside. I'm not sure having BOTH Simmonds and Clifford in the line up on the same line adds much benefit. They are only on the ice for about 8 minutes / game, and that 8 minutes is at the same time.

I would be ok if both were back in the lineup.. As long as they don't do anything dumb after the whistle or you know, get suspended again. I do think one of them sits tonight though.

I would sit Blackwell as well, and put Spezza in.

Which penalty against Clifford or Simmonds wasn’t deserved?
- Canada Cup

The only one I thought was a little cringy was Simmonds on Perry in front of the net. That shove/tackle happens after every net front whistle.
