I felt that way for a while too. But I've moved on from him. Same as Hyman. Don't need them anymore.
We have one heck of a group here now. Without a doubt, the deepest in years. Just got to get by this Tampa group first.
Buckle your seatbelts if we survive this round. Be like cruisin's around in a '69 Camaro if that happens. - Leafsmart
I think its been proven enough holding onto a guy because "how will we replace his X skill and Y skill" needs to stop. Leaf fans did it when JVR went to free agency. "How will we replace his 30 goals?!".... leaf have scored more and been better without him. Same as Hyman and Kadri.

Let's just say the guy running DOPS is not a Kadri fan. Just to give some perspective on this. On Clifford's recent suspension:
If Clifford makes the same hit against Kucherov
1) how long does Kucherov stay down for?
2) How many games does the suspension become?
3) How many times has Kucherov gotten away with a much dirtier play in his career without getting a suspension?

Chappelle attacked on stage.
Good job will smith. - Fakepartofme
That's terrible, but in today's world sadly not all that surprising.
I recently wasted 30 minutes reading one fraction of the comments on a Facebook post showing the video of two 11 year old kids who ran onto the field at the Rogers Centre and were tackled by Security.
The comments were a constant argument about if there was 'excessive force' used against the kids and questions about why the security guys didn't just direct the kids off the field etc. The counter argument of course was essentially "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" / "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time".
Not surprisingly there were WAY more people pointing blame at the Security guys and jumping on the 'excessive force' bandwagon.
And we wonder why people do these things.
To me kids growing up today doing this stuff without fear of serious consequences grow up to do things like rush a comedian on stage with a knife.

While I love that Tavares (whose uncle the legendary Toronto Rock Lacrosse player taught me math in my final year of High School) is a Leafs fan Bruce, I think I'd take Nathan 3rd best PPG in playoff history since the 80's after Gretzky and Lemieux if I was given the outright no questions asked choice. - AdamFrench

I have a feeling I'm in the 1% world here... But in my day- mid 70's Dads used to beat the tar out of us for being dumb... It curbed a lot of this noise.. with my own kids I'm a spanker.... which is also frowned upon.. However I've found it very useful in keeping the kids in line over the years..

(frank) that noise. Run on the field and get smoked. I don't give a care if they're kids. Put them down and they'll learn.

If your in the 1% then so am I because if I did that as kid I would have fully expected to have got hurt at the ballpark when I was removed AND then later at home.
I have no kids so I have no personal insight into spanking or not nowadays other than to say I have lots of friends with kids and it seems to be a bit of a split. One set of younger parents who are friends of ours often say "no thank you" to negative behaviour and use 'timeouts' if it's needed.
When back in my childhood it was a hard "NO" or "DON'T DO THAT" and I was not thanked for following the direction - the reward was my lack of bodily pain! lol
The real issue (to me) is the parents who don't address improper behaviour at all and just chalk it up to the kids 'growing' or 'learning'. News flash, your ankle biter running around the restaurant screaming and ruining the experience for others is selfish and BS.

At his age, I cant see him taking less than what he is currently making.
Heck, I cant see him taking less than a million more than what he is currently making.

Kids generally learn their behaviours from their parents. There’s a good chance that the parents of those ankle biters are selfish and ill behaved themselves. Teaching your kids to respect others starts by doing so yourself. It’s not that complicated. Nothing will confuse a kid more Han disciplining them for behaviour you exhibit yourself

Well...up to a certain age.
Once they reach 12/13, the parents have less influence and kids tend to be more influenced by their friends etc.
Obviously teaching them respect and also practicing what you preach should have a big influence for them. But after a certain age, they do become their own people.
You can only hope the values youve instilled in them or tried to....will also become a part of them

Agreed.
No need to beat them after theyve been tackled and taken down....but for sure take them down how you would an adult.
Learn those tough lessons.
