That goal at the end of the 1st and early second we’re the backbreakers. That and immediately giving up a goal after they cut it to 1.

Leafs had no answer for their 4th line. Keefe loves Clifford, thinks he solid defensively, so I expect he’ll be back and Simmonds out. Hey, Cliffy only took one penalty. Do they move Kampf down and Kase up and switch in Spezza?

Second line needs to get going.

They need to stop taking dumb penalties and need to figure out how Tampa figured out how to counter the PK and counter counter it. Simple

More consistent officiating would also help. If its a penalty for the Leafs, then no defensive axe murders for McDonagh

I’m not nearly as worried about the goaltending matchup as the popular narrative is amongst non-Leaf fans such as yourself and neither are the Leafs and their 60
Goal scorer, or Marner who has 2 goals in 2 games or many others.

The oilers are somewhere between not very good and very overrated. Blueline is weak, goaltending is awful and their offence is the definition of top heavy. Easily exploitable come playoff time, which is why it happens every year.

Ken Holland has that team so (frank)ed up and no one seems to know.

I get that Tampa, as a team can turn it on and dominate, but Vasi is still my biggest worry.
