I thought we were cooked after the short handed goal. Give the Pens credit they battled back. Trouba taking the bad penalty that lead to the five on three helped. Although that isn't always called. The Clifford hit in the Toronto/Tampa game may have had a impact there.

Good road win, don't forget we were up 2-1 in the playoffs last season to another NY team before being swept.

No one forgets, Thunder. I doubt many here are thinking the Pens have this series now haha. Still though, they gave us at least one more OT thrill and I'm thankful for that. 4th game one OT in a row and they finally won one haha...

That’s probably why I thought that. I was really only fully conscious during the 1st period so I probably got a lasting impression from that and whenever I checked back in I just focused on the bad.

But yeah I’m basically wheels up between now and the middle of June. This Italy trip and then Tokyo for ten days and then a short break before going to Helsinki with two weddings in Indianapolis and Baltimore sandwiched in some weekends between. Trying my best to catch as much of what could be the final hurrah as I can but my ass is getting thoroughly kicked by travel right now.

No doubt it's kicking your behind. That's some serious globe trotting, sounds awesome. Do you have your baby/toddler with you for all of that?

Im sure marino is still feeling those hits. I few more from a 260lb bowling ball will definitely shorten his series early. Those hits make dmen hurry their passes and make mistakes...i give boyle credit he tried to settle reaves down a little...
- PENS1989

You know what though? Reaves was absolutely destroying him but he ended up having the best game of his young career, despite that.

No actually. Italy is just the wife and I but we did have to fly with him from San Diego to South Carolina to drop him off at my parent’s house and that red eye was a disaster. Luckily won’t have to deal with it on the way back because my wife is flying with him straight to the Midwest to take her to her parents’ so they can watch him during the Indi wedding where as I have to go back to SD for work reasons since we’re back to going on base two days of the week. Japan and Finland are work so that’s me by myself and I’m also doing the Baltimore wedding by myself because it was too much logistics to figure out what to do with the kid for it

I’m in Italy right now so I kinda slept half slept through it in and out but felt like what I did see of the game the Rangers had us on our heels a lot. I thought we spent a ton of time in the defensive zone and any line that wasn’t the Sid line struggled to establish themselves in the offensive zone.

But maybe I just happened to doze off during the actual good parts. I did miss every single Pens goal besides one of them from dozing off.

Yoooo I’m going to Italy in November. I just scored a reservation at Osteria Francescana in Modena. I am pretty (frank)ing stoked. Had to wake up at 4am to get a reservation in November.

I'm anxiously awaiting Grinder's deep, introspective, and unbiased views on last night's game.

Oh I’m still worried they get goalied. They almost did last night even though they were the better team for the majority of the game.

Where in Italy are you visiting? When you are in Modena you need to check out the Enzo Ferrari museum. Definitely worth the visit while you are in town there.

Flying into Rome, going to hang out in Naples for a day, then meet up with some friends and drive up to Bologna. Going use Bologna as our hub and go to Milan, Modena, Lake Cuomo/Lake Maggiore, and Venice and head back down through Tuscany/Florence before we fly back out of Rome.

Oh yes, still very good chance of this haha. Shesterkin is a f'n beast. 6 saves shy of tying the all time playoff saves in one game record last night haha

Not his first concussion. He’s likely done for the series.

Initial contact wasn’t the head but looked like chin/jaw area got hit with the follow through. Probably just a broken nose.

I think he left his skates as a result of the contact which usually happens on a big hit like that.

Probably a film day and light skating for the scratches.
