I'm sure I've posted this before, and I can't say if it's true for sure, but I heard that Roy went to Corey and apologized the next day, and Corey basically said "what's done is done, we're trading you".

Like I said maybe that's true, maybe it isn't, I don't know..

- pete26

Yeah, heard the same thing. Roy was ready to stay, but they decided to trade him.

He still throws some good wisdom here and there for sure.

Although he was angry when the Habs drafted Caufield because he was a "small american player" instead of a ti-gars de chez nous.

Let's just say I'm rubbing this one in for a few years still.

he's not a fan of Norman Flynn, is he...?

The way his career shaped up, that was probably the best thing for him..

He was selected in the 2nd round by Edmonton. Plays for their AHL farm team...nothing really special so far.

Absolutely. There is a part of me that wishes they could find him a job within the organization, and the other part is unsure if it's a good idea.

that's the good thing about not knowing any of these kids when the draft occures. we can't complain because we don't know them. all we can do is wait a few years to see if they (frank)ed up. and boy did they ever.

Was lucky enough to see Guy in his prime and those great teams of the 70’s at the Forum. They will will never be equaled and he was a beauty.

My dad wanted Jakob Pelletier.

Which, to be fair, looks like a solid prospect as well.

As you said the other day. Roy was supposed to be "the next one".

Corey (frank)ed it up.

God I hate him.

I also blame him for Chelios!

I remember once as a kid, my dad would take me once a year to the Forum with the company season tickets. we took place in what we thought were our seats.
I looked up not far on the left, in the corner, high in the stands, there was a section behind a plexiglass, looked like a VIP section. I told my dad: that must be for journalists or something.

he looked puzzled, not sure. went to talk to the 'placier' with a red jacket in these days to make sure we were in the right seats.
you should have seen the look on my face when we were asked to move and take place in that section! there was maybe 15-20 stools behind a bar, a tv to watch replays, a waiter... aie aie aie. what an evening that was.

it was confirmed Mike Yeo wouldn't be back as head coach, apparently Dominique Ducharme is available...
