This sounds like someone who feels he had lost the team. Word has it their relationship had been strained but I have to think there was some player feedback that contributed to this decision.

I honestly had some concerns about Barry but am shocked that he didn't get another year to fix things. I think both he and Lou shared blame for this season with more of it falling in Lou. So much for our newfound stability

This thread since Lameriello signed on with the islanders had forgotten his past history. This is normal, this is his baseline, his MO.

To be fair some of trotz’s personnel decisions seemed driven by making a point rather then assembling the best possible roster. That’s not even debatable even for the dumbest of posters imo. Lameriello certainly had some ammo most likely but that in no way detracts from trotz being a fantastic coach but let’s be honest, there have been some pretty crazy personnel decisions. I’m sure we weren’t the only people wondering wtf was running through his mind when they occurred.

I’m sure there have been some reactive players voicing their issues with this I’m assuming Barzal being one of them.

Regardless of your thoughts on trotz this lineup was old and slow and not high on speed and talent. Lou needs to bring players in and address the situation

Nobody does but hearing Lameriello say the team needed a new voice makes you think trotz lost the room. Makes sense the players seemed checked out but this roster needs some help more then we needed a coaching change imo.
