Boat tour is great.
I went into the hawks forums before I went and that was one of the number one recommendations. - bryant
Nice ...any other tips Bryant? We have the boat tour ....breweries/music out in Wicker Park/Logan Square ...and a Cubs game followed/preceded by drinking in Wrigleyville.
Also can your wife pack us some sandwiches?

Matthews is the first reigning winner of the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy in 15 years to score multiple goals in his team's playoff opener. |

They need to bring back the video explanations for any suspensions.
All we want is consistency. Make Parros accountable for his decisions. Too much disparity between similar incidents.
If I'm running the show at MLSE and Cliffy gets more than a game ....I'm putting together a montage of Parros getting his ass kicked and playing it every time the Leafs get a penalty. - The Law
That would be an indirect way of making the point. A more direct method might be every time a team gets away with a penalty, replay the infraction and play this on the scoreboard

I honestly didn't think it was that bad.
IMHO, not worthy of five minutes.
Having said that, I have no problem with suspending him, as I don't want him in the lineup. - Atomic Wedgie
I see what you are saying, but the league has made it so that you need a couple of those guys in the playoffs.
Next game he plays, he should go right after Hedman.
The NHL is so ridiculous that that statement makes sense. |

It's true.. If Clifford is not suspended than I think he should be right back in for game 2 |

Yes but you have to take her with you. She’ll pack you a sandwich for the boat tour.

I am sorry but I do not understand how Maroon jerseying Rielly into a defenceless position(when Rielly did not accept a fight) and sending 5 punches to his head is any better than Cliffords boarding.
Both are borderline attempts to injure while a player is defenceless. But Maroons play is just sorta accepted for some ridiculous reason? |

Rielly's gloves never came off during that exchange - the refs should both be tossed out the league for not calling a match penalty on Maroon - oh wait.

Makes no sense.
Clifford was a boarding penalty for sure. The major is debatable but I can see it from both sides.
A hearing? Well where is Maroons hearing? Why did Simmonds get fined? This league has no clue what its doing. |

while I agree totally.. (frank) it.
no point dwelling, whining or complaining. nothing will change.
its suck it up time, make smart(er) dirty chippy plays of your own, best response is to keep the ice tilted as much as you can...also, put Cliff back in whenever he is free

Disagree - Parros and Bettman know exactly what they are doing. It couldn't be more obvious.

I would have hated to see Colton get seriously injured there...but he seems fine so I really don't mind that play in hindsight.
The league is making the players take it in their own hands.
Bloodied faces/noses, bruises, teeth getting knocked out is all good...Just hope no player on either team gets seriously hurt. |

Agreed - use it to build the "us against the world" narrative.
Like Canada's women's team in Salt Lake Olympics. Wickenheiser should tell the boys what it feels like to beat the world. |

You could even argue Maroons play is worse because it was not during a play, he had time to think his decision through and 5 punches to stop.
This better not continue, the NHL needs to get it through NHlers heads that you can't punch a defenceless player not wanting to fight because all of a sudden this is a thing. |

No chippy plays or retalliation. Can't expect the games to be called fair based on past history. Play hard and be ready to counter attack on offense, Protect Campbell as much as possible.

What’s not clear to me is what had happened before this clip because everyone is standing around - some with gloves off - Simpson is saying that things had pretty much been defused, when Simmonds skates in and goes after Hermann. That’s when things really get going. Rielly’s fight with Maroon starts after this. Simmonds seems to be the guy who ignites it. |
