It's a really minor thing, but I loved when the refs called Kucherov for this crosscheck:

https://twitter.com/TicTa...tatus/1521278921152602114

Usually the refs let that go in the playoffs. Which is absolutely stupid.

- Atomic Wedgie

the refs have been calling those type cross checks all season long.
as you say, nice to see th refs actually callit in the playoffs.

you know the Leafs will be getting a few of these as well.

Yeah he's a beast at the dot. He was relatively quiet in a way last night but I mean, he can pick it up at any point and he's a real threat out there. Cannot be slept on. Which is what I love about this team.

Going to Wrigley (for the first time) in a couple of weeks. Any tips?
- The Law

i did a 5k last year - part of the route was running the entire perimeter of the field. It was pretty cool.

I realize this is of absolutely no help to you, but there you go.

I could offer some general Chicago tips, if you haven't been before.

The whole team played awesome, even that bum Engvall.

Clifford was great for 0:49 seconds as well

- Garnie

he lasted longer than most men do .

it's been 20 years since I was there. I suspect things have changed a little. be careful in chicago though - I recall that you could be in a nice neighbourhood, walk a single block, and suddenly you're in hell.

I think the famous bar for Cubs games was called the Cubby Bear though - across the street, it's supposed to be a part of the Cubs game experience. Tradition and all.

Hey wedgie, do you do any structured training for running? what's the best way to build up to a first race as someone who's never done it? considering maybe trainingpeaks

What are you aiming to do?

What distance?

There's a lot out there (although I haven't used any).

Couch to 5k is really popular for beginners.

I'd like to build up to a 10k by fall, I've been doing 5ks on a regular basis in the morning and feeling pretty good about it so far

I have couch to 10k...I figured I'd get to 5k on the way there. I never got past 5k.

What's the difference between Clifford boarding a guy and now getting a hearing and this, which resulted in crickets from both the refs in the game and the Do"PS"?

https://twitter.com/TicTa...tatus/1357490395148677120

Spoiler alert- one happened to a guy playing for the Leafs and the other happened against the Leafs. (frank)ing insanity.

It's a boys trip ..no jogging or exercising of any kind. Unless it involves alcohol.

I would say that was far worse than what Clifford did.

If you do 5k on a regular basis, you can already do 10k.

McMillan is good.

So is Hal Higdon.

But my suggestion would be that if you have a smart watch, get a program that works with it. Always run with your GPS on, so you can track your progress. If you don't have one, you can get a Garmin Forerunner or Venu for about $200, and it will do everything you need it to do.

And FFS, do not run while holding your phone in your hand.

I'm happy to answer any other questions you have.

Absolutely. Not even up for debate, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, I did get two beer tickets for after the race...

Make your restaurant reservations well in advance.

And take the boat tour.

Boat tour is great.

I went into the hawks forums before I went and that was one of the number one recommendations.

Hmmm. What alters the future more and is the inherently bigger risk, potentially giving Tampa the momentum and allowing them to make it a 5-1 game (which is doubtful when the crowd is the true momentum swinger at that point), or allowing a powder keg to explode ultimately resulting in long term injury to your #1 defenceman? 🤔

Jesus Joel, came in here to celebrate and you keep banging on about the (frank)ing fight for like 10 pages.

LET.IT.GO.

In case you don't know, you can't change it. Also in case you didn't know, you cannot control 5 Tampa players, 2 of which are (frank)ing douche bags: Maroon/Perry, and tell them just to go sit down when they were obviously looking to start poop.

Not sure if you've ever been in a group fight like that, it's (frank)ing chaos. Once it starts you do what you can to protect yourself and your clan and get out of the situation.

Tampa wanted to fight. Leafs stood their ground, which is the biggest difference I've seen in this team over the past few years...they have balls.

You can stop banging on about it. FFS.

Great win and a solid all around game for the Buds. Wow. Haven't seen them play that unafraid in a long time.

Similar hit, the guy hitting Kerfoot didn't even get 2 minutes, Clifford got five and a game, Leaf hating POS goon Parros didn't suspend the guy hitting Kerfoot, but Clifford is getting a phone interview. No hearing for Jon Cooper, Chewbacca or Perry though

They need to bring back the video explanations for any suspensions.

All we want is consistency. Make Parros accountable for his decisions. Too much disparity between similar incidents.

If I'm running the show at MLSE and Cliffy gets more than a game ....I'm putting together a montage of Parros getting his ass kicked and playing it every time the Leafs get a penalty.

The irony that you can full rant about letting it go two pages after it was let go is not lost at all.
