Speaking of Bundy I just heard an interview with him and Jim McCrossin on the “My Dad Used to Play Hockey” podcast. Whether Jim and Sal got sick from chemical exposure at the practice facility or not the fact that the Flyers or Comcast hasn’t stepped in to pay for his treatment (some of which isn’t covered by his insurance) is disgusting. They’ve setup a go fund me to help with the expenses. It’s sad to me that it has come to that. I hope all the players he’s worked with over the years will step up and take care of him.

Not saying it's right or wrong but I'm sure they don't want to do anything (such as covering medical bills) that may give a sense of guilt or responsibility. Such is life in the litigation age.

Honestly If everything that’s being said publicly is true, the NHL should step in and tell Comcast to take care of them.

I assume they didn’t have to let it get to litigation. They could have said we’ll take care of you. This may cost them more in the long run.

Listen to the podcast. The nhl and players association don’t want any part of it.

No surprise but I still expect him back as an Assistant. Its nice to see people are loyal to each other but there needs to be limits. The whole coaching staff needs to be fresh.

Yeah, they replaced him with Hartnell and Hartnell blows
- hereticpride
Agreed! Hartnell is God awful. They really need to find someone else. He is also on the NHL Network sometimes and he blows there too. Sorry to be so harsh, but it is what it is. On another note, caught a couple of the playoff games here and there tonight, and realized that the Flyers are light years away from competing at this level of hockey. I can't imagine Frosty on the ice in any of these games. He would get mauled. Thanks!

So I'm hearing that Yeo is out. I think the Flyers already have their guy picked out. Come on down Rick Tocchet!!I can just hear it now. We're gonna get back to playing Flyers hockey and this is just the guy to do it! It would be such a Flyers thing to do. I want ANYONE over Tocchet. No thanks!

I think Yeo is coach if the Flyers can't find a big name that will accept the job.

Here is the thing. They need everyone to be able to play like that. Risto and MacEwen would be exposed in games like this. Its Farabee, Frost, JVR, Hayes, everyone on the roster. The skill guys are the ones who need to up their physical game. Both giving and getting.

And I am not talking about big hits. Im talking about skating hard, finishing every check, bringing the intensity up a notch....or in this case, ten notches. And playing smart. Unlike what Clifford just did in Toronto.

The Flyers have a lot of work to do.

- MBFlyerfan

Watching these games they are so far away it is sickening really. Just seeing these guys play balls to the wall, playing at a diff gear than we have seen any flyer play.

Couple more years of chasing their tale with Chuck at the helm.

The old school Flyer fan that actually grew up watching the broad street bullies are now against physicality, which is weird to me. Get Zack MacEwen and Rasmus Ristolainen out of here as soon as possible. They are running everything.
- SuperSchennBros

Who is against physicality schemp?

I agree as both do not help your nhl team win in any way.

Bill, I listened to your podcast with Jason Myrtetus as I always do. I really look forward to them and thank you both for doing it! I wanted to disagree with you on one point you made. I think team scoring depth only gets you so far. Scoring depth IMO gets you into the playoffs, but top end talent (defined as an elite scorer) is what wins you series. Case in point, the 2019-2020 Flyers did not have top end scorers but they had good scoring depth and finished in the top 10 in the league in scoring which is very good. But how did that team do in the playoffs? They struggled to beat a weak Montreal team and even though they went 7 games with the Islanders, we all know that series was really not that close. For the Flyers to truly contend, they should have good depth and strong defensive structure, but they also need that one or two players that can take over a tight playoff game when it matters the most.

Eichel is better then any Flyer and all though wasn’t great I would take him in a heart beat…..5 of those teams are in the playoffs…every one of them finished ahead of the Flyers. Montreal struggled but went to a cup finals 8 months ago.
I hope part of the excuse tour tomorrow doesn’t point to other organizations about there struggles and short comings.

- landros 2

You would take Eichel, who you admit wasn't great, at $10M per year??

I'll just say two things. If you had an illness and incurred expenses outside of your insurance coverage, would your employer step in and cover it? Secondly, there is a lawsuit pending. Perhaps if the Flyers stepped in and paid his medical expenses, it could be considered admitting fault.

Don't really agree here. Yes, a couple of elite players are always welcomed, but in my humble opinion they didn't fare well in those playoffs cause everything was ratcheted up a couple of notches and the Flyers couldn't keep up. When it comes to general speed and physicality the Flyers are lacking, and it has been that way for some time.

I understand your point. I was saying the same thing when the story came out. I’m just angry. Did you listen to the podcast? It’s hard not to feel sympathy for these guys or to want them treated with some compassion.

There's always a human element to it but your statement that it's disgusting that Comcast hasn't stepped in to cover things is not fair.
