This is the one I am working on.

Not enough hip rotation.

- Atomic Wedgie

Without rotating your hips, you can concentrate on leaning forward on your front leg during your swing. For a while I even exaggerated dropping my front shoulder to help with this. Eventually I was able to stop doing this.

This will mean your swing is "all arms" and you will not generate exceptional power, but it will correct a lot of bad contact. It is a good place to start.

I have found the last couple years that your head is the key on your backswing. As the head goes, so goes the body, If you can keep your head from moving, you wont shift your weight back.

One more thing that is horribly difficult... don't aim the ball. Hit the ball. Your aim should be set by your shoulders and legs, not your swing.

We had a softball hitting net in the back for the kids.

Early one weekday morning, I was awoken by what sounded like a woman being murdered.

We had trapped a raccoon in the net.

Had to wait hours for the city to send someone to free the trash bandit.

- Atomic Wedgie

I can beat that.

We had a skunk get caught in my son's hockey net. It had wrapped it self completely.
I had to put on an old tracksuit, hold the thing's ass down, and cut it out of the net, when done, I literally tossed it and ran. It had sprayed a bit already and those clothes were garbage but nothing serious otherwise.

But it is so true! We all know when we tried to aim the shot and completely F'd it up.

I don't hate what I wrote.

A few big shanks - I overestimated the Islanders, I underestimated the Leafs. I thought Tavares was going to fade.

I underestimated Mikheyev. Samsies with Engvall.

I thought Rielly would be gone after this year.

Nailed a lot of the players, though.

- Atomic Wedgie

Only thing that can be questioned from my picks was wanting to trade for Ellis. And that stands as a good addition if he's healthy still.

But everything else was proven completely correct this season. Here's hoping my ending predictions turn out as perfect.

I actually agree.

I picked Tampa because of how lopsided the goaltending situation looks.

Tampa might have a small edge on defense because Hedman is just great at everything and having one of Victor, McDonagh or Sergachev on each pairing makes them all solid.

I’ll take Gio-Lilli over Sergachev-Foote

They are close pairings although I haven't really noticed Foote all that much...but Sergachev is likely the best player out of the 4.

He's no Drouin but still...

Bogosian would be a healthy scratch if he was still a Leaf, yet he is currently in Tampa's top 6..

I think the only difference in this series is Vasilievskiy.. As long as the Leafs don't get goalied every game, the Leafs will win the series

Wow Surprised how many tickets are still available for tonight's game.

https://www.ticketmaster....S_TKTPUSH_LINK_GM1_522022

So weird to see some cases even now wehre reselllers actually selling tickets for under face value for a playoff game in Toronto - I guess there is some panic about being stuck with tickets. This is when I wish I lived downtown Toronto but then I'm downtown for work and I almost instantly remember why I'm glad I don't.

That’s the biggest thing I see when I play with guys just starting out.

Their feet are aimed 15 yards left of the fairway and their shoulders are aimed right down the middle of the fairway. It’s a sure way of hitting a slice.

You win.

Our old dog got skunked three times.

New dog is skunk-free so far, but it’s just a matter of time.

He is?

I thought Tampa's pairings were:

Hedman-Ruuta
McDonagh-Cernak
Sergachev-Foote

Who's not playing? Foote?

About to head to the beer store… there’s an A&W across the street from there and I’m genuinely curious about the Best Burger Ever Burger.

I may need to buy one…. Or four

Neither have I. My gf and I aren’t very big fast food but we both like A&W… and since it’s game 1 of the post season maybe it’s a good day to treat ourselves to one
