Yea, I heard the interview and agree with what you're saying.

Scheifele basically saying he's in his prime and wants to play with SC contender. Has questions for management with direction. He's not sure which way he's leaning - check with agent, family, etc. Huh?

Stastny saying that he wants accountability, and it's not all about stats, and he wants accountability. Some players have to be team players. Wonders what the results would have been if HE, Wheeler and Ehlers had played together all season. In other words, not Scheifele.

"Good-bye Earl!"

Ehlers would have experienced what Scheifele did, he would have been playing with two 36 years olds. Scheifele surprisingly after overcoming Covid-19 was on pace for over 100 points.

Scheifele is in his prime. He wants management to create a winning team around him. I was at the game today and hearing Denis Beyak speak about the room afterwards - he said “do not give up on the players in that room”.

Anyhow Stastny is 36 years old and will be 37; perhaps he should be asking the coaching staff, how come he did not play center on the 3rd line to take advantage of the center depth this team had.

Did Ehlers not have the best stretch of his season playing with the two 36-year-olds? It helps I guess when you play with guys who put the effort in.

Did Beyak say do not give up on "all" the players in the dressing room? Or did I miss that? Need to get any "cancer" out!

Anyways, like some of the analysts I was listening to said "It sounds like Scheifele already has one foot out the door." If - and I say "IF" - a guy doesn't want to play here, get rid of the sucker. Scheifele or anyone else!

Mark certainly didn't give me the impression with his effort - or lack of same - that he wants to be a Winnipeg Jet any longer!

Beyak said don’t give up on anybody. I doubt any NHL player in his prime says: “I am excited about being part of a rebuild”.

Ehlers played his best with Scheifele. Check out all the advanced metrics and they say that.

Unrelated but I know you won’t like, and I to was ready for a change. Playoffs 4/11 years is not worthy of this;
Chevy just got a 3 year extension. Like I said, he didn’t sign himself, this is all on Chipman now

One note of concern is if that Scheifele does want out, what does it say about Jets management? Look at all the past first round selections this franchise has made (I have included Atlanta).

-Kane wanted out
-Bogosian wanted out
-Trouba wanted out
-Laine wanted out
-Roslovic wanted out

It is only a matter of time before Connor and Ehlers want out based on the above trend. And, we are supposed to be a “draft and develop” franchise.

Did you see the season Roslovic had?
Not crazy numbers but pretty decent.

Shief and Helle both want out!!! they have a less than 1% chance of being here after their deals expire in 2 seasons.

just do it now!!!!! I don't have the patience anymore for this to linger.

have the scouts create a list of top goalie prospects under 22 and then ask those teams if they have interest in either 55 or 37. make the deal including one of those goalies coming back!!

then trade the other and try and get a top RHD prospect or top Center prospect.

the kings have 5 young RHD, ask them if they have interest in Dillon or Stanley, make a deal!!

write PLD a blank check and try and get the deal at least 6 years long

give Harkins and Vessa fresh starts elsewhere

but for the love of god, fire the coaching staff today

I hope ownership sees that this team could be heading to a 5-10 years away from potentially leaving again scenario.
Never felt that before but as a city that is on every players no trade list, and not a serious option for a free agent of any real value, our draft picks need to stay here.
We are 100% draft and develop only.

Honeymoon is beyond over, attendance going down prices going up. Game experience is the worst for food I’ve seen in North America. I go to games in NHL and NFL venues and the food and beverage service is great…..ownership has milked the fans to far.
I have 4 season tickets and the hardest work I did this year was giving away tickets, not charging, giving them away

Important summer? I’d say so

Pretty well in agreement with everything you say. Helle also seems different this season - was upset over the Covid thing and never seemed to get over that.

LaAmight be a good trading partner for a D - doubt they would give up Brandt Clarke but they might Helmut Granz, RH, who is also highly rated.

Wonder if the Canes might consider Martin Necas and the young goalie, Pyotr Kochetkov, who they just brought up and is highly rated? They certainly should have interest, especially if their playoff hopes go array. Ah, speculation - I love it!

Chevy has apparently signed a 3 year deal today

Coaching staff won’t be back

Now you have to wonder do the Jets trade Scheifele for that #1 RD d-man+ - sign Stastny at about $3 Mill a season for two years, and then have Perfetti ready to step in at C. Don't you?

Would you think there's a little friction there?

Who's the #1 RHD the Jets could get for Scheifele?

Didn't sound for sure that the coaching staff won't be back, I'm paraphrasing but Chevy said Lowry would be interviewed for the job if he wants to and he told the assistants that there was going to be a reevaluation which could mean they'd be gone, he said he'd be making an offer to goalie coach Flaherty who's contract is up.

Though Chevy said that it does seem like there will be a new coaching staff hired for next season, gawd I hope they don't bring any of this group back behind the bench, they are clueless.

Did Helle say something recently that suggested he wants out? I do find his contract potentially problematic when he’s due for a new one. I’m not lining up to pay him 10+ per, if that’s a likely ask we move on a la Scheifele.

I haven't heard anything but agree about his future contract being problematic, even at $8M I'd be worried about signing a 31 year old Hellebuyck to a 5 year or longer deal which is what he'll likely be looking for, not sure he's going to be a goalie thats going to age well like say Fleury has.

just rumors but there are rumors Helle has asked for a trade. I also wouldn't believe anything Chevy says in that regard. Friedman reported multiple Jets have asked to be moved.

Jets can’t even end a season properly.

Just FIRE THE COACHES!!!! Who says reapply in the NHL .
Flaherty I’m ok with I guess, high loyalty here as the Moose career keeps him in good standing, which is a ridiculous credential.

Scheifele won’t land a #1 Dman under the age of 33. Has to be a package.

Chevy signs an extension and now multiple players want out? I guess they too are tired of Chevelallseasonoff getting favorable treatment by not doing anything.

If there are rumours of multi Jets wanting out, I could see Helle being one.

Gotta wonder who that is and how many too.

I'm guessing Scheifele and Helle, everyone else seemed to be trying and didn't give the body language either of those two did but who knows, maybe its others or many more even.
