Could, just picked a team that this trade benefits both teams and all your doing is swapping ELC's basically. I understand LA could wait, but why they get him in the system this year. Johnson could be playing for them by the TDL next season. Grans is a decent prospect that with LA depth on that side might not see the ice for awhile for them.

IMO the NHL should make them sit out entire year, their 5th year, from the nhl if they refuse to sign with drafted club
