Why is that, we have no depth at RD. - Buff36
I say forward in that we need a top 6. For defense we need depth guys. IMO we have a nice top4, all of whom can and will get better. |

Goaltending will be upgraded simply out of obligation. They don't have enough bodies on the roster at this point.

Defense is solid. But Joker with Power is not good for his first full season. A vet would go a long way. + Joker is not a top 4 D. - DirtyDan
Joker is going to be one of several really interesting players to watch next season. I do think he is top 4, but I know the question is still out for debate. |

Highly disagree.

We have 2 solid F prospects coming up. Mitts not getting injured first game could go a long way and scoring has not been a big problem.
Stopping 40-50 goals is easier than finding 40 or 50. Especially when you look at who we've had in net.
Scoring is the hardest thing to do in hockey. Lets stop the puck first. Its a little easier to do. - DirtyDan
Put it this way. Adding a bonafide Top 6 forward will have a much bigger effect on the win column next season than a baby-sitter for Owen Power.

Well i would prefer a goalie over both. And having a sound D-man would go a long way for Power's growth

It's essentially Henrik Tallinder to Tyler Myers all over again. It's nice to have, but if that and a goaltender, even a really good one, is all they get, we're still looking at being eliminated by early March.

We are, all of us, of the opinion they must/needs pay a real goalie to play at least next season. Can we count that as understood in all posts? |

Last night was eye opening, but the Bruins are the best of the best. The way they're playing right now I would put money on them against anybody. I still have faith that we can get the 8th seed with a good goalie. |

How in the world is getting atop 6 F better than getting a top 4RD and a goalie... What are you smoking.
Do you even watch this team.
Our goal differential is over 50. Were not bringing that down significantly with another top 6F. |

Best case scenario tonight:
Sabres/ Vegas lose
Red wings/ Sens/Canucks win
Sabres draft 7th and 15th pre lotto.
Florida getting knocked out round 1 because Bobrovsky can’t stop a beach ball would be nice as well (sorry Ratsreign) |

I think Florida can outscore their problems for at least one round. |

This is going to sound like I am knocking these guys, and I'm not but let's look at the forward group.
Thompson - 67 points, career high.
Skinner - 62 points, one off his career high (which he hit 3 times)
Olofsson - 49 points, career high
Okposo - 45 points
Tuch - 38 points - let's project it to 63 points (.78 ppg x 82), would be a career high.
That group is not getting you to the playoffs over an 82 game season, even with Hasek in his prime in net. |

he’s been disappointing to me.
He’s super young with room to grow but I don’t see this huge ceiling
He looks like Mittelstadt did. A great play every 8 games or so and a bunch of bad passes - sbroads24
fair enough
I view him with casey and cozens as guys I expect more
I am pleased that krebs finally got consistent playing time and is producing on offense and view him as the most likely second line player of the three , just not as a center

I've heard you admit to being a self-proclaimed Sabres homer, so I'm just going to let you have this one.
