Or, you could wait until he hits free agency, and sign him without having to give up picks and prospects. - RichardRoma
Fine. Just get me another top 6 forward somehow this offseason, preferably a center. I honestly don't care how, within reason, of course. |

I agree that it should be within reason too. Unfortunately, lacrap doesn't believe in reason. |

In today's world of content and branding, saying something like that makes him money, even if he doesn't play a down in the NFL. - buffalofan19
Sure, have no problem with what he said. Confidence. But you can see he already sees the money with what he was wearing. |

The best player in the draft, who's perfect for Nickel and Dime packages, fell to them at 14. |

We have the single best farm system in the NHL. We have cap space. Peyton Krebs is next to invisible most games. He is not in any way one of the untouchables on thos team.
Dahlin, Power, Samuelsson, Joker all untouchables
Tuch, Thompson, Skinner all untouchables
Quinn perhaps untouchable to some
Okposo and Girgensons solid 4th liners. Certainly not untouchable players, but it makes no sense to move them, nor would they return anything.
Every other player in the system not named is a tradeable, upgradeable assest.
Honestly though, you're one step above a troll. You can't articulate a cogent opinion on the Sabres or the Bills. |

1 QB was taken in the first round.
Does that also say soemthing? - ImThatGuy
First off, it says you were wrong when you stated that 3 would go in the top 20.
Secondly, the position is weak this year. Teams that are in need of a QB have other issues and are going to continue to suck enough this year to pick up a better option in next years draft.

Shows you about value, especially with Baltimore signing Williams in the off-season. |

If Krebs had put up 30, 35 goals after being called up, would you still trade him?

Of course not, but he's nothing close to that. He's so far from that why would you even bring it up? |

To be fair, their best receivers drafted (i.e. Nelson, Cobb and Davante Adams) were all not in the 1st round. - buffalofan19
20 years w/o picking a wr in the first round has to be a record

I see. So, if a prospect doesn't have a Jason Robertson-type impact in his first year, he HAS to go. No exceptions. |

It doesn't have to just be about making a cup roster next season. It can be about enhancing the team's chances both short and long term.
That would mean making a long term decision on players like Mittelstadt and Krebs this offseason. - kingcong39
Theres 0% chance you can make a long term judgment on him yet.
He’s really bad right now |

Going into next season with Mittelstadt or Krebs as one of my top 3 centers scares the living garbage out of me.

Yet, some see a 30-35 goal scorer in there. I got news for ya, Krebs would be the last of our young centers the Hawks would want for a Kane trade. |

This same thing was said about Thompson. Samuelsson was a terrible skater. Dahlin was being run out of town because he sucked, etc etc.
It's also amusing that Skinner is untouchable AGAIN, especially when most would have GIVEN HIM AWAY last year and the year before.
My point? Krebs is basically on a 40 point pace, as a 21 year old rookie, and if I'm the GM I'm not giving up on him just yet, especially in a trade for a 33 year old w one year left on his deal who won't be here past the trade deadline (and if he is, we'll start crying age whining that they didn't move him then). |

Stop talking sense. lacrap wants instant gratification - a playoff series, where he can sit in the stands and wave a white towel, while wearing a blue and gold Kane jersey |
