It was interesting to hear Rivet talk about him yesterday. He said something that I pointed out here last week - Jack has no idea what he is doing without the puck.

Well, from what I have read and heard, the draft is relatively strong at their most crying positional needs of WR and CB...with good players there through round 2...maybe rd .
Plus add in a late FA signing after the draft. He has multip,e options to find those 1 or 2 players

Beaner has done a nice job of creating maximum flexibility for this weekend.
He really could trade up to go after Hamilton to fill a longer term need or more immediate need if he decides to trade Poyer.
He could stay at 25 and let the board fall to him which is what he really likes...and of course trade back if a team wants to select a player in the 1st to get that 5th year option.

Just a guess, but I feel like we need more rookie contracts to equall ja17's, vons and now diggs contracts.

Beane gonna trade down, maybe multiple times.

I could see the Bill's acquire future picks in 2023, put some in the bank for the future.

Picking 25th is a great trade spot for other teams to grab that wr before green bays (2) first round picks.

good logic there. I think if we were going to draft a WR or RB in the first 3 rounds you might as well move down as there isn't supposed to be a lot of separation once you get past the few at those positions.

25 isn't a great trade spot. It's a great spot for taking the next Jonathan Taylor: BREECE HALL

Does Hall have the breakaway speed that Taylor does? It was my understanding that he is fast but not THAT fast.

He ran in the 4.3s. Same 40 as Taylor

He's fast and agile.

Next Gen stats have him rated as the highest rated prospect in the draft, 99 overall.

Should the Jags take Hall over Aidan Hutchinson?

Absolutely, and maybe a rb with a 2nd round grade falls to the 3rd round?

The Bill's are far from predictable, but picking a running back in the 3rd seems like the gig.

Kyren Williams has good hands, probably available in the 3rd round.

Ying to singletarys yang?

Since you cant quite grasp this.

No Because:
A) They draft a RB in the first last year
B) Drafting a RB at 1 OA and 25 OA is massively different.

This has been the Patriots strategy for years, and has not worked out well for them.

Lots of rbs on 1 year deals, Singletary is safe, but nobody else is IMO at rb.

Woudnt you upgrade moss?

Their strategy is good - rather than pretending they have a crystal ball they move down to accumulate more picks so you are more likely to hit on a player. The problem is you still have to pick players once you trade down. They've certainly been terrible at picking certain positions but that's not a reason not to trade down.

8 out of the top 11 rbs were taken in the first or 2nd rd

if you want A guy, grab one in the third

if you want The guy, odds say you need to pick one in the first 64 picks

They covered this on GR this morning. Over the last few years the best RBs were taken in the 2nd round specifically.

I think the point may have been that they have traded down but still had problems finding talent at many spots because they haven't drafted well. For example, wide receiver.

You’d think the draft is one round
