I'd rather have a Cup and the player traded for that wins every award on the way there.
Tage is a good story for the last 100 games though. - IonSabres

Let's give it up for Patty Kane. 33 years old, on a bad team needing to rebuild, and putting in one of his best seasons:
76gp 22g 66a 92p, and doing that with his 3rd lowest shooting % (9.3) of his career.
Buffalo's best. Sorry, Mr. Spahn. - lacaprup
from what I heard yesterday he must stink on defense as he is a -18 this season
an overpaid liability on the ice

Well we haven't won anything we either one. ROR was the finishing piece for St. Louis that year. |

I’m not disputing that ROR was the missing piece.
Sabres did not have a championship core though and would not have enjoyed the same success St.Louis did.
At least they have a player in Tage that will hopefully be here for the next half decade or more. |

Big hint in Meatballs interview. He was asked about Tage Thompson's assist numbers being an area where he grows his point total next season. His answer talked about Alex Tuch not finishing passes from Tage because they surprised him. Vic might be a fixture on that line next season. |

No not at all, I still think even trading for ROR when we did was a bad idea. |

Man what a Sh!t show in here! Funny how people jump all over Peg's, but everyone on here has had some wild takes and things they have said. Man no wonder are writers always leave. - Buff36
You are right on. Everyone has thoughts and opinions that should be respected. Some on here will never learn. |

When are we talking, now, next year, back when the trade happened?
If it was back when the trade was made, RoR very easily. Last year, still RoR. This year and forward, Tage. |

Mostly everything from 2013-2021 was just an enormous waste of time. C'est la vie |

But not no more! The Quinn is coming!
Can we make "Quinn for the Win" a chant? Came up with that during coloring time today at school. |

If you want to roll with that, get another top 6 center.
Skinner-Thompson-Oloffson
Quinn-NewGuy-Tuch
Krebs-Cozens-Peterka/whomever
4th line
I still would like to see them get two top 6 forwards, but it sounds like they're going to ride or die with Quinn no matter what. Another center gives you options. Olofsson is streaky, always has been, as most perimeter players are. He's going to have dry spells. Then you can move Tuch or even Quinn back on that line when you need to change things up.

I've watched maybe 8 hours of Sabres hockey this year. And for every post in Hank's thread I spend maybe 90 seconds here. - Wetbandit1
Boo.....
But acts like an expert and stops in to "help" baller out.
Really sad Sabres fan 😥 |

you have said many times skinner is a liability because of his plus minus this year
you never responded when I said patty kane has a worse plus minus this year
is patty kane now a liability on the ice?

Granato caught lightning in a bottle by moving Tage Thompson to center and it working out as well as it did. I don't want to bank on it twice. Moving wingers to center often doesn't work out. I realize Krebs did play more center pre-NHL than Thompson ever did, and he may likely be able to do it at this level, but I hate that idea as a "Plan A". Get another proven guy up the middle. You can be a lot more creative on the wings. |
