This city has the 2nd biggest inferiority complex in North America besides Canada. If McDavid had a few championships by now, this fanbase would hate him, just because they lost out on him to Eichel, which, on top of everything, ended badly. - buffalofan19
The odds of winning the lottery where like 20% to win and 80% to lose out, we knew we had a better chance of drafting Eichel all along. I could never hate McD for being good and winning. I can dream "what coulda been) but that's about it |

Exactly. He isn’t even in our Conference let alone Division. No reason to hate him at all. |

That never stops a fanbase that experiences this much losing, never has, never will.
This isn't to say that it would be warranted, just that it would happen. The majority of just about any fanbase is just that irrational...and stupid. |

I really can't see ppl on this board hating McD simply because he won.
Edit, if he won his Cup against the Sabres on a game 7 winning OT goal that was kicked in and was not called, then yeah, I would hate him. But that might be the only way I would. |

not to mention that - based on his reaction after the lottery - he clearly wanted to be here.
(side note: if I never here about "wanting to be here" again it will be too soon)

What is there to admire lord purple helmet?
Ball spears? Crying to the refs ? Playing for the pens?
Your acting like pegs'ville and finishing 1st or last. No in between.
We were still rooting for the Sabres in those meaningless games correct? Just because he beat us in the outdoor game doesnt mean he took it easy the other 50 games.
F him
McDavid is better - Boss34
Crosby is disliked more than his peers like Ovechkin (at least prior to Putin, etc.) because Ovechkin plays a hard, heavy physical game out in the open while Crosby sticks guys in the nuts and throws a forearm shiver into a guy to send him careening into the endwall at 100 MPH
He's cheap. At least that's how I see it. |

This is so ridiculous dude lol
I love McDerp and hope he wins a cup and will be thrilled for him if he does
Now Eichel? That’s a different story |

Good post and comparison.
Sid is just unlikable for his cheap play and cheesey mustache at times.
Ovi is everyone's favorite star. Hard nosed ,but not the level of dirtyness...

Say no to running back in the 1st round - Sabretooth9
most likely impact rookies would be a rb, and a cb
only other team I could see picking a rb is houston with their later first and the eagles
and most likely the rb goes early second rd |

Oh God I have a joke but I should probably prune the thought in the same way someone would use tweezers to prune a unibrow, not that it's in any way related to the photograph. |

Interesting answers. Sid voted most complete player (Barkov 2nd). McDavid voted the player most would take for one game. - lacaprup
Where is the best NHL road city to spend an off day?
Nashville is 5th best according to this poll.
