Lol, I only knew that stat because of the amount of times I thought we were going to challenge it this year.

Just got back from Vegas and went to the game. Hamburger was a beast and not giving up rebounds.

Also on a side note, Devils (frank)ed up with the move to Newark. Vegas did it so perfectly and got pretty much every bar, restaurant, and casino involved with the team. The entire area is one giant pregame party. Going to Hoboken would have been the better move.

Walsh looks like a pretty promising defense prospect on the right side. Keeping Siegenthaler around may make Graves more expendable.

Trade Zacha for whatever in a package, at this point Boqvist honestly looks better at C.

When healthy, Hughes, Hischier, Boqvist, McLeod should be the centers. That allows Mercer to play a top 6 RW role.

Holtz is having a very promising season in the AHL. Didn’t really get a fair shake in the NHL this year considering his usage when he was up.

Of course all of this doesn’t matter if we get league worst goaltending.

Agree on McLeod, he provides absolutely nothing to this team outside of faceoffs, which are irrelevant 95% of the time. I prefer him to be gone and just fill his spot in free agency, but I'm sure the FO likes him so I assume he'll be back.

Mercer being on the wing is fine, and he's earned getting time in the top 6. He's flexible so if he's actually our 3C then that means we likely have 4 wingers better than him and it's a damn good situation to be in. Also, Boqvists' emergence the 2nd half of the season has made that an acceptable thing to do. He's earned atleast a look at being 3C to start the season next year. Since January 27th when he became the full time 3C he has 10 goals and 17 points in 36 games(23 goal and 39 point pace per 82) with a 50.30 CF% and 53.96 xGF%(4th best on the team in that span). If we add an actual top 6 forward and Holtz, it allows us to slot better 3rd line wingers for him so I imagine his assist totals could pop some more, but if he can maintain being a ~40 point player that'd be fantastic.
