I really don't care what others think about this acquisition. I am okay with it, but not sold on it.
To me, it was obvious weeks before the TDL that they would be dumping salary and replacing those players with younger cheaper NHL players.
They did exactly what they said they would do.
Not sure why some were so surprised, or couldn't figure out what was meant by what they said they would be doing.

That is excellent to hear/see. This team badly needs a top pairing left side defender, so OEL can play in his more suited role on the 2nd pair.,

I don't think he's the answer. Maybe some time with Shaw will help. But he can move up and down the pairings without hurting them, plus plays both sides. Nothing wrong with some flexibility. Gives options to make some moves within the group.

I’m glad Benning consulted with LH and they decided to take Joe Levi instead of that 33 goal scorer. Geniuses!

I probably won't even watch the playoffs. I only caught the last period of tonight's game . Lost interest after the Detroit game.

Now I am waiting for all the other teams to empty all their prospect cupboards and trade them for Boeser and Myers . Also looking forward to all these cap dumps JTM Petey Hughes .

A lot of people can't grasp that. Teams don't have cap space and are certainly not going to overpay to get a RFA that need ridiculous QO or long term contracts paying 9 mil for 30 year old players.

No, they sure won't, especially when every player you are trying to deal are the ones that are at least 1.5 million per overpaid.
