You guys think they bring Bruce back?

Apparently his contract has both a team option and an option for Bruce himself to opt out of.

So basically a mutual option clause. I’d assume he’d be happy to stay since he didn't seem to be in high demand before he was hired here and seems to be enjoying the city.

If they want a shot at Conor Bedard...No

If they want a shot at being the 14th worst team in the league...Yes.

I don’t think they plan on being that bad unless they decide to trade Miller this summer

Remember the glee about how Schmidt was a huge upgrade on Tanev.
Then Schmidt went on a season opening tear in Winnipeg and had like 20 points in the first 30 games and was + 10 or something. Like that.
Soon after he dropped back down to reality.
Glad Benning at least did something right and dumped him, another 6 million over the next 3 more seasons would be unbearable.
Still get a kick out of those guys.
Bunch of dumbasses.

Tanev ended up cheaper ouch

Garland is fine. We lack good 3rd wheels. Brock is an over paid 3rd. Trade him for assets & the cap space. Pod & Hog need the time to develop.

Again my line dynamics are duo's with the 3rd wheel complimenting in all ways if possible. Usually meaning big & can skate & feed off linemates.

Garland 36 points-5 million
Pearson 33 points-3.5 million

One of those guys also kills penalties , is a consistent winner of board battles, isn't a puck hog, has decent size and occasionally drops the gloves.

True but Pearson is a bargain & Garland a fair price. Other contracts are a bigger concern. Dlcky Poolman & Boeser. Garland may be a puck hog that is fixable. At least he can drive play.

Wasnt Bruce saying about Horvat dumb positioning during last OT? When a coach go public to point out whos the guilty something is not ok. Bruce will not coach a bunch of sub par and loser players.

Trade bo
Fire the swedes
Keep Bruce
Play rathbone

Idk about that comment but Bo sold out when Petey was in a bad trailing position. Guessing he’d win the puck was a poor choice.

Definitely think he wants to come back, and that he’s done enough to deserve the opportunity. If there are not enough changes over the summer however, he may not want to take on the monumental task of coaching a team that only plays the last ten minutes of the third period on a regular basis.

Like the players, the organization needs to be developing coaches. No idea how Cull is to work with.

Pearson has been a pleasant surprise for sure, though at this point he’s a bit of a luxury for this particular team. He’s kind of our Barkley Goodrow or Blake Coleman, but instead of challenging for the cup we’re challenging for the second wild card/lottery pick.

One of those guys is top 5 in the league at drawing penalties after subtracting the amount they take out. top 10 in drawing penalties with subtraction. There are other ways he helps besides the score board. He also doesn't get PP1 here like he did in Arizona. that makes a difference in production.

Heard something yesterday that Allvin was calling out the club for their play and the 'no superstar' comment? Fact?

That Chris Tanev guy sure is an excellent defenseman.
Good thing the Canucks moved on from him.

- Reubenkincade

Let’s not forget about 2nd place LA’s 2nd pairing of Edler and Stetcher.

That was a mistake 100%. I know people wanted to move on from Edler but in reality....he's about the same as OEL...maybe even better and cheaper and WAY shorter term....

Tanev at 4.5
Edler at 3.5
Total 8M

Or OEL at 7.3 for eternity

Absolutely. Time will show it was the right move same as Edler and Stecher. Move more of the country club out.

I disagree with Tanev - he is a gamer and should have signed him to the flames deal + edler 1 more year. never should have signed Poolman. For 1M more we coul dhave had Edler 1 more season while Rathbone grows + we wouldn't have this CAP mess with OEL. brutal.

Tanev was offered a fair deal as was Markstrom but both left for the extra 500K and term. All good with that. The more we shed of the old country club attitude the better we will be in the future and that includes Edler. Hope this new MNGT group sees what needs to be done to make the necessary adjustments. Many praised the OEL-Garland deal at the time as we shed LE-Beags-Rous which many wanted gone anyways. Keeping Tanev and Edler for 'another year' would have changed nothing with this club and their attitudes. Which needs a sever adjustment beginning with Bo.

'Many praised the OEL-Garland deal" - I was one of them, or at least had high hopes. But if we could undo that deal i would at this point. OEL an anchor of a contract. And garlund is meh IMO. Not worth a top 10 pick.
